hey ppl, i was lookin through my files a while ago and I found a picture of what im pretty sure was my awkward stage..I thought I'd share

I remember i really hated my hair during the awkward stage..n im glad im prety much almost through with it, im alot happier with my hair now..never got any trims, and i know it was mentioned alot in recent posts about trimming during the awkward stage (Surferdude)..i suggest not to get any.
By the way does any one have any awkward stage pics and a recent pic, i wud really like to see the difference.

You may have hated your hair during the awkward stage, but I'm sure you are loving it now. Your hair looks awesome dude, that is some great looking hair. Not trimming your hair has worked out very well for you. Unfortunately I do not have any progress photos of my hair but I may start doing beard growth progress photos. Absalom

PS You carry off those sparkly stud earrings well - I'd just look ridiculuous with them !
I'm just curious, how did you get that style, where the hair on the before pic half covers the ears (like your hair's been swept back in a straight line form your bangs to your ears) and falls down your neck, because my hair easily covers my ears and basically my sides just hang down on the sides, and looks really untidy, but yours did not. You say you've had no trims? I think If I found out how to make it look like that, that would make things a lot better!
well my hair didnt always stay like that, this one of my better lookin awkward stage pics. It usually looked alot worse than that, i had like these flips on the side of my head n everything..ill see if i can find pics of that.
Hey man, your hair is tight. Thanks for posting more pics. How long have you been growing it out from that near buzz cut you posted a few weeks ago? You ever get much hassle about your hair? It looks great. So do the earrings, man. Josh
When i started growing it, I let the top grow longer while i trimmed the back and sides. So its been about 16 months for the bangs/top hair, and in august will be a year for the back.
I got alot of comments from girls, like "cut ur hair" and stuff like that, but it wasnt in a mean way. My friends actually wanted me to keep on growing even during the times whe i was ready to give up. But overall i never really got much hassle about my hair since long hair is very common in my section of New York.
Thanks for the reply man. What part of NYC are you in? It's my fav place but I live in Denver, my second fav place. It's good to know you don't get hassled. Here if you're a snowboarder or skier (I'm the second one) you can get away with long hair, but otherwise, business and individuals are assholes about it most times. Yours looks cool and the trims were worth the shape of it now, eh? NYC...damn I have have some hot memories from many visits there. I have family in Brooklyn and friends all over.
