Hey everybody,
Well, its been two and a half months since I last cut my hair, and as soon as my hair starts looking "long", I'll post some pics. Until then, pray for me :).
Anyhow, I recently bought a Suave shampoo product along with a conditioner, and it looks like it works great. Does anyone have any particular approvals/condemnations of this product? If you don't think its that great, what commonly-available product out there is good? Thanks everyone.
All the suave shampoo's I have see are way to harsh for hair.
Three ingrediants which are bad Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate Ammonium Laureth Sulfate and Ammonium Chloride. Please avoid Suave shampoos at all cost. Get V05 shampoos over this.
I guess sauve's conditioners are ok.
I used that junk for years cause it's the cheapest.. and the good stuff was exPENSIVE
off a hunch I switched to Tresseme (which is still comparative price wise, cost about 3.50$ a bottle but it's a Huuuuuge bottle.
the conditioner is like butta... compared to suave... which is more like washing your hair with saliva hahaa it left it sooo knotty
now... zero knots and it's like a new head of hair all over again :)
I have been using Suave for at least two years and have found it to be ideal for me. The type I use is purple, dead cheap and smells nice enough so it met all my criteria for trying it. It is harsh enough to get my hair clean no matter how overdue I might be for a shampoo but at the same time I do not see ill effects on my hair length. Those ends are about nine years old so as sensitive and special needs as any hair out there. I don't even follow it with conditioner half the time so I certainly give it high marks.
I think you'll be fine with it LongHairVet. Give Suave a try and pick aother if it it does not meet your expectations. There is no need to be tempted into paying more for your hair care just to feel like you are doing something to help it grow better.

If it works for you then why change? I also use Suave shampoo (occasionally) and conditioner (all the time), probably the same stuff as Elizabeth (big purple container = Suave Naturals lavender?)
The shampoo is rather harsh, gets my hair 'squeaky' clean which is probably not a good thing to do every wash. Most of the time I use Aussie.
