I have difficulty finding shower caps that don't look "girly girly." My hair is down to my butt, but I don't have to wash it every day, or sometimes am running too late to wash it.
Best caps I've found are plain ones, but was wondering if there were any out there made with a more masculine design. Perhaps a budding market for the NFL products folks.
What do you guys do for shower caps?
I don't go outside with my shower cap on. I just use the "girly girly" ones. Who cares in your own bathroom.

Thanks, Yeah, I do that too, but even though I'm an old fart with long hair (55) I still have ladies spend the night sometimes, and I sometimes go on road trips with ladies where I stay at their house or share a motel room with them. Can't always hide in the bathroom, and don't always remember to "hide the girly shower cap" so they see it when they use my bathroom.
It just bugs me, maybe its testosterone poisoning....but think I'd feel more comfortable with a "guy pattern" shower cap. Just something in a plain basic coler would do, navy, forest green, royal blue....
Are we male long hairs such a small market no one makes these??

Hah! I don't know why, but when I meet women in social settings, they are often very curious about my (longish) hair. I don't think I'm at all paranoid, but It's my impression that most of their questions seem to nibble around the edges of wondering if I do anything with my hair or use anything on it that would perhaps be considered "gender inappropriate." I'm always very up front that I pin it up when I need to keep it out of the way, such as when I'm working on my car or bending over a lot. I tell them I use a cap when I shower, and I often add with a smile that, "mine has daisies on it." Frankly, I think that the majority of women are favorably impressed by a guy who doesn't freak out at the idea of color coordinating his scrunchie with his necktie [grin]. But to get serious about your question, my shower cap doesn't really have daisies -- but that's just because those kind cost too much and tend to get pretty gross with age. I go to the beauty supply house and buy a large package of "processing caps" that are the same kind of clear, disposable cap that you get for free at most hotels. It doesn't have little Pittsburg Steeler logos on it, but it *is* unisex. Cheers.

Thanks Jay Pee, took your advice. I found packs of three "processing caps" for 49 cents....incredible. Also discovered satin pillowcases in the same beauty supply store for just $7. I'd been searching catalogs and the web, not knowing for sure what "satin" material was. Here they were, packaged especially for long hairs. Pillowcases even have a zipper so the pillow doesn't go shooting out of the case.
your 55 and your hair is down to your butt good for you ........
Go to a sporting goods store that sells Speedo brand
competitive swimming products (e.g., goggles, swim caps,
swimsuits, etc.).
Speedo has a line of silicone rubber swim caps that
come in solid colors (blue, black, white, green) that
are ideal for long hair (I have hair down to my shoulder
blades, and I use these caps at least three times a week
when I swim). These caps are maintained between uses (when
dry) with a light brushing of talcum powder.
Be sure *not* to get *latex* rubber caps--they are made
from cheaper, thinner rubber that is less elastic and
will stick to your hair and pull hair out.
Good luck.
