I read that by having a pony tail everyday, your hair line begins to reseed... Now i understand that... But is it a very BIG diffrence? I mean im only 15 and love the pony tail, but i dont wanna be 20 and bald...
But then you seen girls who tie back there hair everyday of there life since they were children and there hairline isnt back, So im rather confused on the issue
Hi Joe F
Your mistaken, tieing your hair back does not call your hair to receed. Its a perfectly safe option.
Your concern is about traction alopecia, but this only occurs if you tie your hair back really tight. For this to occur you have to tie the ponytail so tight that the stress on your hair causes them to "ping" out or break. Even then the condition is temporary, the hair will grow back, it'll just look rather ragged towards the hairline as you'll have lots of shorter hairs coming through.
But I wouldn't worry about this unless you do tie your hair really tight, if you do, then just loosen off your ponytail.

tahnk you for your help :) I was just geting nervous about the reseeding hairline
It is unlikely you will have a problem if you use a soft cloth elastic hair tie. Do not rubber bands. I keep my hair in a ponytail and have not had any problems. My photo proves this too, take a good look. Absalom
