hello, i read this board very offton but i have only posted one, i was told i have a pretty bad hair line, im only 14, could someone please tell me what age it can start at and if there are any way to stop/slow down this. Thanks:)
Some types of hair loss are easily reversable, but male pattern baldness is permanent. It can begin at any age after puberty, even in the middle teens, and can range from just a partial loss of hair to complete baldness. 95% of all cases of hair loss are caused by MPD. It affects roughly 40 million men in the US, approximately 25% of which begin balding by age 30; two thirds by age 60.
I would recommend consulting an expert if you think you may be experiencing MPD already. Unfortunately, there is currently no method of preventing it from occurring.
