Picture Purged
Just wanted to post a pic for a number of reasons. Three I can think of so far.
1. Tomorrow I have to play in my country orchestra, and I took this picture so in a years time when we play at the venue again, I can look back at this.
2. My bangs appear to have grown half an inch since the last few pictures were taken, which is right for about 15 days.
3. This is the first time I can pull my bangs back and make them look integrated into my hair, as before they looked really bad and very short.
These pics are taken 1 day after washing so it's flipping like crazy in the front, and my proper length couldn't be shown, but I have another pic with my bangs slightly past the tip of my nose.
I didn't mean for this to be an official update, but there haven't been many posts on the hyperboard recently, and I'm just board like heck, so why not look at these lol.

What can be said? The hair makes you look older, mature, sophisticated and just..well.. awesome.
As with Sorted's photographs of now and before he set out on his journey you have made the change from teenager to young man. Put all scissors in the dustbin, crosss the street if a barber shop appears and just GROW.
Forget slicking it back as in a post two days ago - just carry on looking after it. Long hair rules - your parents friend and family should be proud.
One inch per month? That is incredibly fast growth. Your hair is coming along nicely and those annoying flips and waves should vanish in a year or so. Absalom

I have to say you are looking better and better when your hair gets longer. Long hair just fits you perfectly and can't wait for you to be able to tie it in a ponytail. You are making wonderful progress, and I think you will be able to tie it in a ponytail at the end of the year, or less. Keep growing, my friend.

I agree I look better and better, which is a pretty cool thing because with short hair, I'd look more or less the same every day month or year, clothes made little difference on what I looked like. Now I'm finding that every month I look different. That's one of the beauties with long hair!
I really hope to be able to tie it in a ponytail by the end of the year. OOOOh how I'm gonna make my girlfriends soooo jelous! :D

The change cannot really be measured. The longer hair gives a certain "depth" to you that I wouldn't know how to describe.
You look like a totally different person..........and for the better! The longer hair (my opinion only of course) compliments you the best of all.

You hair looks great. You appear to be managing the awkward stage nicely. Just keep your bangs (fringe) out of your eyes and you'll be fine. Have you ever considered wearing bandanas? Thanks for the update. Good luck with your long hair goals.
I've considered wearing a bandana, but the only place I know of that sells them around here is a goth shop, and I feel slightly hesistent to be honest to go in there! Goth isn't my style as you know.

Thanks man! Now and again I get awkward flips to the side of my head, bangs curl sometimes and double back up my forehead. But I do get good days about 40% of the time, where everything looks good. The back never gives me any problems, I don't experience much flips there at all. So all's good :D

What you have gained is absolutely astounding! Wow! I KNOW that you are a "Natural," (not a sharp nor a flat) as a "shoe-in" for the most awesume Long Hair! I am so happy that you are sticking it out. Believe me............it IS worth it and you are nearing the "Exciting Stage" because it now gets better and better all the time. :-)
Just returned from FL. w/relatives, (Sister, Brother in law and Nephews) for the 2nd week that they are to stay w/me on the West Coast. They are presently "Conked-out" for the night and I couldn't wait to see what was going on on the Hyperboard. (It will be hit or miss for me this week while they are here.) After that, I will get my photo posted at long last.
Funny, but I really missed my daily check-in of this Hyperboard.
As for my hair? Sis and Brother-in-Law had not seen me in 3 years and were very surprised at my hair. BUT..........they didn't "down-it," in fact my Sister wants her Hubby to grow his longer now which very much surprised me. (He refused.) As for the "Nephews?" They are firmly of the the "Lawn-Mower" look..................or so they say. Lol. Hmmmmmmmmm........they question me constantly: What is it like? How long did it take? Would I look like an Idiot with Long Hair? My friends would think I'm nuts and make fun of me. AND GET THIS..............ha ha ha, BOTH of them have told their Mother that they have decided NOT to get a haircut every 3 weeks. Their excuse? They don't have the time. (Yeah....sure.)
Well, I will search a few messages and conk-out myself.

Glad your journey went well. Everytime my nephew comes over my house, he switches the computer on and presses all the keyboard buttons, and I have to inspect the damage later:(
The orchestra evening went great, made lots of new friends, loads of compliments about my hair, the girls love it! We played two great pieces, was supposed to play four, but time was short plus the fact that it started later than expected. We played Vivaldi double 'Cello concerto in D minor, and St Pauls Suite: Jig. The Cellists played superbly.
And I'm super happy about how my hair is coming along!

Good news, and about the "girls," they ALWAYS seem to be mesmorized by a guy with nice long hair........drawn to him like a magnet! And the longer yours gets the more astounding as it compliments your facial features "just right." I have NEVER been downed by a Woman about my Long Hair. With guys it is a different story...........or at least it used to be. :-) Now THEY even have compliments at my present length.
Super! There is much for the Cello..............but alas precious little for my particular favorite of all the Strings: the Viola.

Honestly man, the flips are part of what makes it look cool, I think. They add your own unique touch of individuality. And the rest looks awesome as well! Good luck at the concert and keep it up bud.
Cool, thanks a lot. I know the flips will look better as my hair gets longer, but it seems like it's taking a lot more time for my bangs to reach my mouth, although they are growing at 1 inch or just slightly under right now.

As ever your progress is outstanding, your one of the lucky ones with really fast hair grow, but I guess this is kinda evened out by the fact that the waves in your hair hide the length so much. I suffer much the same. But hey its a hell of a surprise to people when you can pull a ponytail outta virtually nothing, the looks on their faces :D

Yea, thanks man, the waves are a problem, making my hair appear shorter than it actually is, but I guess it looks better than straight hair which tends to appear limp a lot IMHO.
Hair looks smooth & tame without any signs of awkwardness! Great!

And do you know why I'm so happy too?! I'm happy for you and also, as soon as reading your post, I pulled my bangs down to see If I could do the same. With my face being totally relaxed, I need another 1/2 inch, but when raising my upper lip with my fingers a bit, it does actually touch!!!!!! I've been really working hard to get it to touch there. I'm taking ASDA Skin, Hair and Nails vitamins, and Holland and Barrett's Sea Kelp. I'm eating healthy, doing lots of exercise, concentrating all my power on my hair and trying to grow taller. If I feel any buzzing sensation, like happiness, I try to direct that feeling to my scalp, hoping to make hair longer. Yea, I'm weird lol!
Did you feel like me that it took ages for the hair to go past your nose? Now it's cleared my nose, that's a HUGE relief!

Seemed to take ages to get to the end of my nose, but once it past there, it seemed to fly on down to my lip. I might start taking some tablets, cos although I don't think they make your hair grow faster, I believe it gives you all the nutrients for healthy hair, so the hair you grow will be good condition.
I'm hoping that my growth won't slow down cos I haven't been well - that always seems to happen... but then at least we'd be exactly the same length lol.
