Hi everyone, that's the really first time I join this forum and I've decided to ask y'all something I've been thinkin' about for months.
Do you remember the good old Jim Morrison? Well, I'd like to know how should I have my hair cut, in order to have it similar to his! I'm not talkin' about the period of his life when he had it very long (in the '70s) and all of it had the same length, both the sides and the back. I'm talkin' about the period between '65 and '68, when he had the hair on his back longer than the front. I can't understand how long was his hair, so please, make me understand somehow! Tell me what approximately was the length of the hair above the forehead, on the sides, on the top of the head and on the back... Or give me any suggestion that could help me wearin' my hair just like his!
It's better if you have seen the Oliver Stone's movie The Doors... Because I'd like my hair cut the way it is when he's doing the photograph service or when he's singing The Ends at the Whiskey a-Go-Go. If you haven't seen the movie, you can think about Touch Me performance at Ed Sullivan's Show or, even better, about the photo where he has his arms put in cross... you know, the most known photo of him!
if you try to be someone else you will remain unsatisfied forever
hey, i'm a teenager, it's quite normal that i want to be someone else:-) i know i'm tryin' to be jim morrison, sometimes, but i even know that it'll be over when i'll get 20, so i'm not worried 'bout that! it's just that i want my hair like that, 'cuz i know it would really fit me!
So you say it's normal for a teenager to be unsatisfied and to waste his time immitating hairstyles?
And hmm, I'm not that old, i think i still have the teenager's life in sight...
And at 20 you will become a nice reasonable adult and work til you die?
Nice to see you've got your life planned out like this.

c'mon, u know i don't mean that... i'm just sayin' that it's really rare, if not impossible, to meet a teenager who hasn't someone he admires and who want to become like... i'm not wastin' my time over that, i just want to try...
i don't know how old are you, but maybe u don't remember very well how u were as a teenager:-) i'm not sayin that the day i become 20, i'll be a reasonable person, i mean that i've time to grow and to become more mature, since i'm just 17.
answer me, if u want... it's been a pleasure to know u, really!
@lby
Personally I think you're one of the most reasonable and down-to-earth people I've heard in regards to your life perspective.
It's good to have a hero or role model, and I completely understand the want to look cool and have the image of your hero.
Keep growing and you can decide when you reach your goal length whether it suits you or looks the way you wanted. Have fun with your youth, and don't give up the search for happiness - that's the real reason for living - to be happy and to bring as many people as you can with you on that journey.
Good luck man.

thank u very much man:-) so far, i've met just two guys who think the same way as me: one is you and the other one is one of my ex classmates. i'm really happy to have met u. sorry fo' my bad english, but i'm an italian in a hurry, so... u can understand:-P
Oh, I see where we disagree here....
Role models for internal things ARE useful and important.
however, what we're talking about here is a role model for looks, which, although it is very frequent as you pointed out, is not helpful at all.
Perhaps I do?
I'm 19. I know what you meant, but sometimes one needs an external influence to notice energy traps. You can use your time to grow/get to know yourself/even possibly... "mature" (uck) instead! I didn't mean that as an insult or whatever.... i never do.
take care

this is an EASY one
NEVER wash your hair, NEVR comb it, eat lots of junk food and take lots of drugs and it should look like his LOL
only drawback with the last 2 is you might end up only having a lifespan of 27.......
but seriously Morrison was awesome, i'm a huge doors fan
just not sure what to say because Jim was never known for his good hygene or for taking any kind of care of his hair
I was forgetting to talk about my hair! It's curly and it can sometimes get frizzy in the back of the head. On the sides, it covers my ears and pullin' it, it reaches the chin.
In the front, it's long enough to cover my eyes, while, pulled, it reaches the superior lip. In the back, it's longer, yet it doesn't arrive at my shoulders, if I don't pull it down. I hope I've been clear, ask me for further questions!
Hey bud,
well the best thing for you to do is let it grow so that it's actually longer than you want it. Then, you should seek a good stylist, and make sure it's one you trust. Bring in several pictures of Morrison, make sure she understands how you want it trimmed, and let her do her work.
As for care, I think just washing every couple of days and conditioning at least on the washing days and you should be alright.
If this works you'll see an image of what the poster I believe
is talking about.
Having lived through the era, having lived through Jim Morrisson's life and his music (if he is indeed dead) it was
a very common hairstyle at the time being that Jim Morrisson
was very much admired and loved.
P. S. There has always been nagging doubt about whether
Jim Morrisson really died. Many believe he is actually still
alive.
hey man, u r great! that's right the style i'm talkin' about! how can i achieve that?!?!?!?!?! tell me how to have my hair cut, please!!!
Maybe he's hanging out with Hitler, Elvis, Miss Monroe, Kurt Kobain and Bruce Lee.
I didn't start the rumor but from the day Jim Morrisson died
there have beeen believers that would swear the guy was still
alive. And this belief has survived for alot of years.
Anyone know why his fans believe he is still alive?
Well, it's not quite normal, it's really normal:-P
surely, someone has seen someone who, like me, wears the same way and maybe is quite similar to him. they thought he was jim morrison and spreaded the news!
Sincerely, I think he's dead for real, but anyone can thinks what he wants!
