Hi I know the best way to control waves and flips is length but will a leave in conditioner or other product help me in the mean time?

Leaving in a little conditioner helps reduce frizz and might keep it from flipping. I had no success getting rid of the flip, i just had to live with it. Maybe drying it srtaigt or using styling wax maybe?
