i posted a pic a couple topics down, should i part it or leave it till it gets a lot longer?
Can you post a pic with a part? More importantly, will a part stay in for you? That looks like early awkward phase to me. I did slick-backs with gel or just let it run wild during the awkward phase. When your hair gets long enough to stay behind your ears, wearing it loose with a part starts to become a viable option but then you'll probably be looking forward to pulling it back into a tail at that point.
parts don't stay for me, it comes back to how it originally is.

I've been parting my hair for months now, even before I needed to lol. But now I've trained my hair to part and it does that very easily. Just keep on parting it and eventually your hair will fall in that shape.
when it starts to fall into ur eyes when loosely worn, which it looks like now, i used to just part the bangs, not the entire head, part it a bit off centre too, looks more casual
