The undercut was winding me up big time, so I got a number 3 all over to start again from scratch. I'm going to do everything right this time. No thinning and trimming (first mistake), no iregular trims, not tying it back in the shower, not combing it too often and using a good shampoo.
Here's my first monthlg progress pic, taken straight after washing it to get the cut bits out.
To be honest, it feels good doing it properly this time. It might of taken 3 years of silly hair cuts and stupid habbits, but you live and learn don't you.
BTW, that's not my Pokemon stuff in the background. LOL
Unfortunately, there are times in life that learning the hard-way is the best. But oh.........what a bummer. Sorry for your mistake, but now you will never let all the things happen to your hair that happened the 1st time around.
Good luck growing it out. This time you WILL make it! :-)
Recently I've been feeling tempted to start all over too, since I have never followed proper haircare and my hair/scalp/roots are pretty weak. Plus, I've only been growing it for 12 months which isn't that long a period, but my hair is down to my chin now so it still feels like a waste to cut it.
Best of luck with your new venture!
Matt.
Can I suggest that you can recover this by follwoing some of Sorted's (and others) excellent advice on care. It would be a tragedy to throw twelve months away.
Oh man, I can't believe you cut your hair!! I thought it was awesome. It looked great in that pic you posted not too long ago. Looked nice and healthy to me. MUCH more so than mine anyway. The buzz cut looks good on you too though. Good luck growing it back.
Thanks everyone for the supportive comments. Don't worry. I -=AM=- growing it back, and as long as my genetics will let me. I now know how to do everything right, so I'm not upset about it or anything because I know it'll mean better hair in the long run.
Actually you don't look all that shabby with that buzz. I'm sure you want to grow it back right away but it doesn't look bad at all I must say.
I've got more patience than what I had when I first decided 3 years ago, so regrowing it long won't be any trouble at all.
