hey guys...
i've had a lovely long hair experience which i would like to share with you all. right now, i'm 16. i have lovely blonde hair, which is silky, very straight. i've got blue eyes and i've got a very slender build for a guy; end result- i look VERY MUCH like a girl. let me start.
i was 12 and a half when i decided to grow out my hair. i had- still have- a center parting. my hair wasn't very long then, but i was inspired by various wrestlers and musicians. and my hair grows extremely fast; to keep it of just medium boy's length, i have to go to the barber about 1-2 times a month! i know this is pretty unbelievable, but that's the truth. anyways, after one month, my bangs- side bangs- were nice and long, nearly reaching my ears. i've always stayed with my grandparents and they don't really care what i do. in abt three months, my hair was past my ears. no one was really commenting on my hair then. but by the time i was 13, the length became noticeable; my bangs hovered about 1 inch above my neck. i still didn't tie it back or anything. many of my friends got sort of disgusted with me, and stopped talking to me; though some behaved as though nothing was wrong. well; by 13 and a half, my hair reached my shoulders. and it was still very straight. and now whenever i shook my head, my hair used to fly, brushing my face. i just loved the feeling. even at home, i used to spend an hour brushing my hair; then occasionally i would just lie down with my hair over my face. (i am not gay or bisexual; i just believe that we men have our right to being as feminine as we want). one year after that, it was near mid-back. then i decided to wear a ponytail. and that was when i started being mistaken for a girl. initially i was upset; then i realised that it was only a compliment because my hair was so beautiful that people thought i was a girl. so i just smiled when i heard such comments. now i am 16, and my hair is about 2 inches above my waist. i tie in a ponytail very occasionally but most of the time the ponytail comes loose; maybe this is due to oiliness. i also tie a bun; though once when i was making a speech on stage, and my bun came loose slowly. people were rather shocked to see my hair length . i was embarassed for a while but then took it sportingly. i even wear braids at times, but that is rare. when i go to resturaunts i wear clips sometimes; my grandparents do find that embarassing but i don't care. i think we have our long hair and we can do whatever we want with it. right now i think i will just let my hair reach my waist and maintain it at that length.
thank you
Markus
By the time you reach 21 changes in your body will make you look less effiminate. Maybe you should try growing a light beard.
I hardly think he could wear a beard... if he's blond with blue eyes and a feminine body, I don't think hair could grow on his face at just 16... i'm 17, with blue eyes, but dark hair and just a lil' feminine body and I've never shaved my beard, just a few hair on the chin and above the lips... his hair is much fairer than mine and he's also younger, so i don't think it has the possibility to grow a beard... u hafta wait, man, i'm sorry:-P anyway, since u don't "go overfeminine" (i mean, actin' like a girl and exaggeratin' ur femininess), those jokes could even make u more attractive to the other gender, i swear!
Same here mate, although my body doesn't really look feminine, I've got very big and wide hips! Oh yea, my eyes change colour all the time, from red, to green, to brown, and maybe blue, but brown/ green they stay at most of the time.

Yea, I don't want to sound a little "gay" (No offence intended), but women would probably find you cute if you have a body like them. Just don't go overfemme lol.
Ever get the impression that the prevailing sexual ideals are in conflict with some higher ideal? Because we live in a corrupt world, society breaks the ideal in half and hands portions to one sex, and portions to the other.
From my PoV, it's not that men have the right to be as feminine as they want, it's that men have the right to persue the whole ideal--and beauty is part of that ideal.
Maybe you never looked at it that way. Your need to disclaim your sexuality suggests to me that you've *partially* bought into the idea that some virtues are exclusively masculine or feminine. Now, I say "partially" because if you had bought into it totally you'd never have grown your hair.
At any rate, I enjoyed your story. I wish I'd had that combination of courage and sufficiently accepting environment when I was your age.
cool. i cannot do braids but wish i could. do u ever do hair in pig tails? id like too but dnt really have the confidence and i do care about what people think about my appearence. not in a stereotype way but id want them to look good!
Welcome Markus, kudos to you for having the discipline and one mindedness to grow your hair to waist length and being able to achieve this at only 16 years old. You have succeeded where most have failed. I tried growing my hair out at 16 and gave up on it. Waist length is a good stopping point. Hair much longer than waist length becomes increasingly difficult to take care of and can get caught in things. I should know, mine is 16 inches past my waist. Absalom
Great story, Markus! Don't worry about looking like a girl. I've got that same slender build that you have. My girlfriend even jokingly wishes that she had hipbones like mine! As long as you've got confidence in the way you present yourself, you can laugh off any rude comments.
It's great that you started out so young. I wish I could have done that. Any chance of posting photos?
Bravo. I wish I starter a year earlier than I did like you did. Now, after my trim I need to do some hair math and figure out how long I've been growing it.
Anyway, killer story.
