Thanks to all who replied to my post about my 25 month pics. Some of you said I looked better without the HP. Its your honest opinion and you are entitled to it, however, I personally LOVE wearing the hp, especially at work every day. I will admit to a bit of narcissism as I also get a kick looking at myself in the mirror. In the past year, Ive gotten dozens upon dozens of comments, all positive, all from young girls up to middle aged women. Men either dont care or dont comment, and I obviously dont care about mens opinions. Had I gotten mostly negative feedback from the female gender, I would perhaps have reconsidered.
As an example, 2 weeks ago, my doctors secretary just went bonkers when she saw me for the first time with the HP. Her reaction was that I was ravishly handsome, and that she wished her husband would let his hair grow long like that. She finds long hair on men very sexy & the longer the better.
So obviously, its been a very positive experience. I, and many others friends & relatives of both sexes, find that I look much younger with it. So its there to stay. I am never showing my bald top outside my home again.
Heres a bit more info about it:
As Ive said before, the hairpiece blends with my real hair. A hairpiece, contrary to a wig. Is meant to do just that,: i.e to add to the hair thats already there. Thats why real human hair is preferable. Its also much more durable than synthetic. Well cared for, it will last up to 3 years. Its not meant to be worn either by some one with a full head of hair, nor by someone who has no hair at all. It has to be custom made to adjust to the shape of your head and it needs to be your exact hair color. They can be up to 24 inches long. I could be forced to stop growing my real hair at that length, which "aint too shabby" anyway.
There's an 11 week wait once you place the order, (its made in China) Worth every cent of the $1,300 CDN I paid for it ("installation" included). (about $1,000 US)
It is held in place by 3 strips of 2 way tape on the front and 4 clips on the sides & back. No seams at the part the way a wig would show. The cap is the thickness of onion paper yet very resistant. Its so thin I can see my hand through the piece. The cap (made to measure for me) only covers the bald spot on the top of my head. You wash it in the sink, once a week, with special hair care products.
Good luck to all long hairs & long hair wannabees.
