I sorely regret it. I'm going to apply a leave in conditioner in a little awhile. I let my hair air dry and decided to see how well it would comb through and I could barely get through it. For those who don't know, I posted a topic asking advice on straightening hair. I've definitely learned my lesson. =(
Frankly I thought your hair was fine before. But I wonder if you ever tried a center part. Maybe you could post a pic of you with both parts, and get some feedback here.
You can't tell right now...my hair is wet, I just did a shampoo scrub and put on a leave in conditioner. I have tried a center part, actually its always been the way I was just trying something new but I hate the side part on me so I'm back to center.
I well remember your prior post, and even contributed my 2 cents worth with some warnings.
But perhaps it is now best to look at the positive side even though learning the "hard-way" hurts the most of all but IS the best lesson.
So, now I see two choices that you are up against: 1.) Cut the hair short and start all over again, or 2.) leave what has been done and continue to let it grow and get a "trim" (oh say every 4 months) until the damaged hair is finally gone and then throw all caution to the wind and let the hair grow-out fully. (Doing it the 2nd way will spare you the "Lawn Mower" look if you think you can tolerate what you have now and at the same time afford a somewhat longish hair look.) Lots of Conditioner and plenty of Detangler may work wonders. Ask the "Girls" what they do. There may be much more temporary hope than you know of.
Sometimes, (and this goes for us all) we don't realize how good a thing we had going until suddenly it is gone. Such is life I suppose.
The main thing: don't beat yourself up over this event. Lessons have been learned and you will eventually emerge in a triumph!
Good luck.
Oh i know a good thing. The aussie three minit myricle thing is really goofd for no tangles !! im talking the comb went throught my hair like a dream after leaving it in my hair for about 4 minits !!
