Your hair has really come along Izzy. Your a lucky guy, I have bleached hair almost all over but I'm too chicken to cut it all off so I just keep growing my natural and get trims. Nice hair btw.
Actually I would consider you brave to keep your hair. I guess I just fell out of love with mine in the state it was in hehe. But it's all relative. If you're happy with your hair, then that's all that matters isn't it? :)
why did you cut your hair ?
Well having naturally dark hair I went blond, aka overbleaching 4 times within a 1 month period like an idiot. I tried to just endure the damage, but it just got to a point that the upkeep was pure hell. At times I could barely even fingercomb it without snagging and breaking strands. Imagine a mop made of wheat stalks... that was my hair!
While I could have cut out the damage and re-grown from that point, my roots were really unhealthy so I decided to just start completely over the right way.
Since then I have learned so much from this board and how to take much better care of it. It was the right choice for me, since my hair is now 200% more healthy than even my unbleached roots were and I am loving it! :)
Be well!

As you hair grows, I've got a feeling it's gonna fly past your nose in very little time.
Keept growing, and have you trimmed the bangs slightly? They look a little straight. When I part my hair, I can never get the parting absolutely immaculate.
oh and btw, if I can ever get access to a better camera, I'm planning to do some back shots. You'll be able to see just how uneven it is :)
Haven't had any trims since the full shave and don't plan ever having one until it's back down to my shoulders to even it out, if I can find a trusted stylist.
I use a light gel sometimes with a boar bristle brush, slowly and carefully brushing it back while semi damp in a way that makes it look like I have it pulled back into a tail. After it dries, slowly again, I brush it out and (Usually) comes out somewhat straight looking most of the time.
I do this to help reduce bang curling up at the ears making it look like i've got wings and a flying head :P My hair's semi wavy so, it loves to fly all over the place if I don't clamp it down like that ehehe.
