I want to grow my hair out (and have been for the last 2 monthes) and then put it in braids. Right now its about 2 inches long. School starts in about 6 weeks or so and I dont know what to do with my hair while it's growing. I had been wear my hair real short so I have no idea what to do. Any help is greatly appriciated.
do just like you did when it was short; think about other things. keep yourself busy, and don't look at your hair.
in a few months you will look at your hair and be pleasantly surprised!

I'm only trying to help some people avoid the biggest trap of growing long hair in my opinion. Of course only a few will try it, but that's enough, I don't seek success in helping people, i just want to do my best :)

Find yourself some sculpting clay, wax or gel - different products will suit as your hair grows. Keep it looking messy and funky and you'll get by just fine.
Remember, it will look bad for a while, so only head down this road if you're prepared to work through that hard patch.
