A year ago I was able to pull it into a tail. Milestones are really few and far between now. Belt length is still an eternity (I think that's as long as I want it). However, I seem to have found another milestone:
In the shower I can pull it around to the front and see the water hitting it. In the morning I can grab the tail, pull it around to the front and actually see it in the mirror while brushing it.
That last point is very good because people are always recommending that you start brushing at the ends, but that was always really hard to do. I used to hold my head sideways, but then I was brushing all the hair to one side which is not what I wanted. Now I can brush out the bottom, and when I move it back around to my back I can start brushing at the top without tangles.
I'll try to get some pictures in the next few months.
Does anybody else have "post-tail milestones" they'd like to share?
Being able to put it all in one braid
Sure, a post tail milestone for me was the first time my tail was pressed between my back and the back of the couch. When I turned my head I could feel it pull.
Yep, reached that a while ago. Now I really appreciate leather chairs--the hair slides nice and easy. We have this one chair in our office that's covered with fabric. It seems like my ends find their way into little holes in the fabric, then when I move they pull. It's the anti-longhair chair.
