Picture Purged
Okay, hopefully this time it will show on the board...this is my second time trying to post this pic...
Well, this is the how my hair looks like from the side. You can see the straight part as well as where the curling part starts...I am trying to grow my hair again after cutting it into layers a year ago...I've gotten some good advice on using Aussie products.
Anyways, any comments welcome as always,
Thee Longhaired Gal
great hair! realy impressive :)
Your Cherokee Friend,
"Insane" Dwayne
Hi Dwayne,
Thanks for the nice comment. I woke up this morning, and my hair was kinda "lifeless" after using a product which should've helped with the body of my hair. It's suppose to give more volume, instead I got the volume in the lower part of my hair and not overall. Redleader gave me some advice on using Aussie products. But we don't have those products here. I'm from The Netherlands btw.
Do you perhaps know where I could buy it?
Thanks,
Thee Longhaired Gal
Looks excellent! Glad you made it here! How was your vacation?
As your hair grows the curls will move down and - in my opinion - will look even better than now. You've got awesome hair and you shold take good care of it. Just check carefully what products you use - if you use any; I have never used anything in my hair, so that I don't have experience with any products except for shampoos.

Great fullnessand colour. I feel a slight envy. :-)
Here is a gal asking guys questions on hair care and related products... What has become of this world? This is an ultraconservative's ultimate nightmare...

Just want to say thanks, you guys are really great and honest!
Thee Longhaired Gal
Uhm, I don't get it. You might have long hair, but you're not a man.
*Cheezy game show host voice* "And our jerk-of-the-day award goes to. . . .LONGAIRED PAUL!"
read the FAQ, Paul. It says that ladies are welcome here.
Which is of course followed by, "however, the conversation must stay on topic." And then there is, "this board is for posting about long hair on men," and "most of the rules can be summarized: Stay on topic, and be courteous," followed by, "read the board before posting to get an idea of the flavor of the site."
I'd say Paul has a valid point, Ball Guy. Meanwhile, I do believe "jerk-of-the-day award" may come under the social etiquette guidelines for the board.
When I play here it is with the understanding that I am here to contribute toward the support of men and their hair. My hair is not in my posting picture for a reason. I can bring it up to contribute a gender neutral hair care experience as a response but it would be inappropriate should I start a thread about just my hair. There are so many places where female hair is on topic and those would be better places for Thee Longhaired Gal to seek assistance.
That said, welcome Thee Longhaired Gal. You tried to do all the right things by checking first so I don't see Paul's comment as necessary considering he is not pointing out the same OTness of movie, music, and dead cat posts to those authors. Asking the guys for help is a compliment on their own hair and many have taken it as such. In a roundabout way the post about female hair becomes helpful this time as long as it is not a regular event.
Elizabeth
Hello Elizabeth,
Thank you for clearing that up for me. I did read the FAQ, before I posted and it also says: "Any posting on this subject that passes the rest of the rules is an allowable post" and "This site is intended for all audiences".
In my previous posts I was trying to explain why I posted on this board in the first place.
I totally respect the fact that posting on here should also contribute to men with long hair.
I did seek assistance on many other boards of female hair, and they couldn't help me or give me the advice I was looking for.
It was not my intention to start a thread "just about my hair".
I was seeking honest and open advice from anyone, male or female on this board.
I wouldn't have posted here if it wasn't for the other female posts I've seen on here as well, and if the guidelines/rules said "No Females".
Seen, that I've made a mistake posting here, I shall seek another board where gender doesn't matter.
I'm also a big supporter of men with long hair.
Keep up the good work guys!
Thee Longhaired Gal
I hope that you will continue to post here - one of the greatest things about this board is the level of suport it offers. If we can help you with your growing out layers problem, and you are also a suuporter of male long hair, then that is two reasons for you to continue to post, and I, for one, will be glad to see your posts here.
Your hair looks fine to me - I would let the layers grow until you are coser to your goal length before doing any serious trimming, and before that, only perhaps a tiny bit of trimming if you feel it is necessary for tidiness.
Thank you!
I will give advice from my side where possible relating to any hair questions. My goal length is for my hair to reach past my middle back (the way it was before I had the layers). I find having hair the same length all around, makes it easy to put in a ponytail - so that you won't have any odd hair sticking out and falling into your eyes. I actually shouldn't have cutted it into layers in the first place, but I just wanted a different style back then. But now I realize that I would rather have it back the way it was.
Thanks for the support and I will keep you guys updated as I hope you'll do the same.
Thee Longhaired Gal
Yeah Welcome in, Long Haired Gal!
I too hope you'll continue to post, because I for one am very interested to hear about your hair, in so much as its texture and thickness looks very much like my own hair. Plus I don't believe there's any real different between male and female hair anyway, so your experiences are very relevant to the rest of us. Besides, I like to see a few women on the board, it can help balance social group a little.
Good Luck with growing out your layers, though personally I think your hair looks great. Hope to see more of you.
Thanks Sorted!
Really appreciate the support! Well hopefully my membership to the board will be accepted, as I'm also going towards my goal length and I find that I'm getting much better advice here than on the other boards I used to post on.
Nice website btw, and your hair looks great! Keep up the good work!
Your Welcome and of course you'll be accepted, anyone who has a useful contribution is more than welcome on this board, its nice of you take the time to post and introduce yourself.
Thank you very much :-)
Btw, I meant to ask you about your site (I know this got nothing to do with hair)...but, how long did it take you to make? I'm a web developer/designer myself. I usually take about 2 - 4 months, depending on the site I'm building.
The Design Template - probably the sum total of about 6 hours, the content god knows...
My Company normally turns out a web site in about 4-6 weeks, but we are working on up to 8 projects at any one time and their are 4 of us involved in production, two more in sales & administration. Most of our production delays are caused by our clients, we work pretty fast.
We have the luxury of not having to produce all the content for our web sites, we encourage our clients to write most of their own text or hire a professional copywriter, we just tweak the text for SEO purposes. We also hire professional photographers to supply us with custom imagery so our work is really in planning, putting it together & publishing... then the real work starts once the site has gone live... *grin*
Sorted
Wow, very nice indeed!
I´m in the "process" of starting my own company as well...hopefully it will work out for me.
Anyways, I´m on holiday at the moment - i´m in Ibiza. So my postings won´t be that regular for now.
Anyways, thanks for replying and I wish you the best with your company! and of course, your hair! :o)
Btw, I really think long hair suits you very nicely!
Thee Longhaired Gal
Looks healthy and full and has a nice sheen. I am also growing out the sides from a layerd cut so I know what you mean.

Looks super nice! Wish mine was that long right now!
