While walking down the street in my home town yesterday at night, my brother saw what looked to be like two dead cats. When we went closer and inspected we found they had both been hit by cars.
Now I do not know about the odds of hitting two cats at one time, but the way the two cats died to together was so sad, and made me so angry. How can someone be so careless two kill not one but two cats. I have a sneaking supicion it was on purpose
Sorry for my rant it just makes me angry, I'm an animal lover who loves Both cats and dogs. For someone too leave these two cats on the rode after hitting them is very cruel at least they could have a reported it to the dog pound.
That's awful! I love cats and all animals. If someone was to do this on purpose they have a very sick mind! I can't believe there's people that actually do that. It sickens me to no end.
From what I could tell it appeared like these cats were beaten to death. Not ran over on the road. 1 cat looked like it had a stab wound, with blood dripping out on the street. What I want to know, if it was an accident? Why didn't they get these cats some help when they could have had a chance at surviving.
Frankly I don't about the human condition. Maybe we humans are a lost cause. We are infintely more evil than our animal counterparts, who just kill for survival.
Part of it may be that they are just cats. I'm an animal lover myself (and a member of PETA) but if it was an accident, then one could just look at it as natural selection. Humans shouldn't be cruel or hateful towards animals (as a whole) but then, if you're going to help every little hurt animal, then you're going to be a very very busy person.
I think we as humans simply have greater capacity for it. Just as humans have greater capacity for intelligence, abstract thought, love (aside from procreational purposes) we also have the greater capacity for hate and wanton destruction. It should also be noted that there are many animals who kill other than just for survival. Many specie of tuna will go into a feeding frenzy and slaughter many more fish than they are able to eat. At the last house I lived in (in the country) there was a pack of coyotes that would find a domestic bitch in heat and abduct her, then use her as bait to get male dogs out away from their owners homes where they'd kill them. Wouldn't eat them, just kill them for the mere pleasure of it.
Crazy world all in all. . . .
Now that's just plain frightening. How many times have we, as humans, been tricked by animals? Perhaps the animals are smarter than we think and are trying to take over the world just the same as us. Except cockatiels, they don't care. :D Only time my bird attacks is a gentle nibble when it's after ten. Ok then, thanks for listening.
I would first suspect that the cats had a run-in with
a wild animal (Raccoon, squirrel?). If the cats were the
victim of some human mischief neighbors presumably would have
seen something. My first incliniation would be wild
animal of some kind.
I don't know they died too close together like within a foot from each other.
That's disgusting. Unfortunately I live in a country where this is daily standard - most people don't care what they hit as long as it doesn't damage their cars too much.
Our modern society has ingrained within us a deep disdain toward other forms of life, in which animals have no value other than an economic one (if they're lucky) or a nuisance one (if they're not). Sad world.

I'm an animal lover to have the following thoughts:
1. This is one of the reasons I keep my cats indoors.
I see too many animals who get hit by cars around here.
2. Report it to the dog pound? Don't bother. Here in
our town there is no dog pound, it was massacred in the last round of budget cuts.
I keep my cats indoors and my oldest male lived to the ripe old
age of 19. (Old for a cat). If he was an outdoor cat he would
have had a shorter life.
Around here drivers who hit a dog/cat are required to
notify the owner if they can..
