I've never tried it before. Does it do a good job moisturizing and conditioning the hair? Does it leave the hair looking and feeling greasy? Any comments on it?
Some people like it, but other people find it sticky and hard to wash out. I like coconut oil. It's very light and goes on as thinly as you want. You can spread a drop or two on your hands and touch your hair lightly to apply, or warm slightly and apply to the hair for an overall oil treatment.
Jojoba is supposed to be good, but I haven't tried it (yet).
In my case when tried no. In short, a slimy yuky mess.
So I have heard, but I have been unable to find any in my location, so...............I use "Hot Oil" followed by Kids Shampoo followed by Aussie "Leave-in-Conditioner" and am having the best results of all. No Split Ends, Tangles or hair breakage. In particular, the "Leave-In" is most heavily applied at the tip ends of the hair. Oh yes, my hair at present is 13."
Olive oil is messy and sometimes even 'gummy.'
It is heavy and not so easy to wash out as lighter oils.
But my favorite is still L'Oreal's excellent MELTing Gel.
You can control the look you want by jow much you add to your hair.
I can get dry, frizzy hair to look tame, soft and nicely 'moisturized'
by adding it to my hair with just a bit of water mixed in.
The best part is, almost all of it can be rinsed out with plain water.
L'Oreal LIQUID SPRAY gel is fab for quick touch up and
a wonderful shine.
And aside from my shampoo and conditioner,
these are the only products I need to make my hair look great!
I've never tried olive oil, but have great luck with jojoba. A light coating (about 3 drops totally spread across my hair, which is just over 6 inches in length) does great. Sometimes for something more intense, I'll go heavy and let it sit for a while before washing. I also had interesting results once with transmission fluid, due to a slight mishap when changing the trans in my car once. It was about impossible to wash out, so it was incredible greasy for 2 or 3 days, but very soft for weeks after!
