One thing I have noticed the last few years with long hair is the fact that if you and your partner BOTH have long hair it can be a bit troublesome. I'm not sure what sound be done about this but intimacy is tougher with hair all over the place. Anyone else felt this?
Naturaly, I believe that it can be a different form of communication. Since wemon aren't used to longhairs, it can be quite a pleasant experience.
My wife hates being tickled by my hair so I keep it tied back during 'intimacy'. Our main challenge is that I'm 15" taller than her !
Guess it depends on the individuals, some will like getting lost in each others hair, others will find it a damn nuisance. I guess practical problems will always start to emerge with 'really' long hair. But I guess I'll find out for myself in a couple of years time when my hair is long enough to be an issue.
I use to have a relationship with a guy who's hair was longer than mine at the time. Whenever we went out, other people would get us confused with each other - was quite funny actually. But the long hair never bothered me in any way, because he used to just put into a ponytail if it really got in the way... :)
Previously, with hair to my lower back, I dated a woman who had near waist length hair. Managing it did take some slight learning, but no major nuissance to us. It can also be a good thing. I was still dating her when I cut it after 5 years. She reported missing some rather unique tickles at certain moments.
It can be nice, but considering that my hair is ankle length, there is no way it can be left loose. Husband's hair is mid-back length, and lately he's been tying it back. It's not difficult to solve this situation.

Thanks for sharing, I've never seen hair that long in my life! This is definately a first :P
Hubby doesn't have long hair anymore, and he doesn't like mine in his face, so I just tie it back or braid it out of the way.
My wife enjoys playing with my hair and doesn't mind having it on her face... The biggest problem (for me) is detangling it afterwards.
