Well i am soooooo STUPID, well what i did was i though i will try and curl my hair. So i got this circular hair brush you know the clindricle ones and i got sort of my bangs, well it was a lot of my bang on the left side. So i got it and curled it roung the brush and then when i went to un roll it, it got stuck !!!! then i got really upset and my mum helped me for ebout 2 hours picking it out, at this point i think ok this isent to bad then near the end of getting it all out it got really tangled and really stuck we tried loads of stuff but then my dad cut it and now there is a bit of hair which is about 1 inch and the rest is about 8 !!!! Well it probley sounds worse than it is because it dosent really notise axcept from when i put it in a pony tale.
Has anayone got any idea how ...??? well just any words of advise thanks i am in a right state !!!!
Well, not advice exactly, although this might make you feel better.
When i was about 15, during one o fmy short hair phases, I had a similar "misfortune". My hair is VERY thick, and when it gets to aound two-three inches, it just sticks up like nobody's business. Well, I could gel down the rest of it, but there was a huge "duck's arse" that persisted in sticking straight up right around my crown. So, genius that I was, I figured I'd give it a trim - you know, just snip the bits that were sticking up, so it all looked even. And presto! It looked great...
Until I got to school the next day.
Since it was the back of my head, I really should have got a mirror so I could see what I was doing. Turns out I had actually "trimmed" the hair almost down to the scalp, leaving me with a mini Friar Tuck bald patch on top of my head. Oh boy, did it take a while to live that down - not to mention grow it back...
Hair grows back, pride heals, and you learn valuable lessons. That's about all the positives I can draw!
Ouch... Sorry man, sounds like a tough break. Just calm down and relax for the rest of the evening. Get a good night sleep and worry about it the morning.
I gave myself a scare doing a similiar thing and fortuneatly I managed to untangle the comb. I had only turned the brush about twice and it stuck as I uncurled the first half turn, so it wasn't so bad to unravel. Took about 15 minutes, long enough to give me a real fright.
I'd done some even dumber stuff in my time, like "thin" my hair with a Gillette Sensor Excell Razor - Welcome to baldness...
I also once applied a suction pump from a Vac-u-seal Tupperware set to the side of my check and for a laugh decided to pull the lever and feel the suction against my cheek - you know like kids do all the time with Vacum Cleaners. Of course it left a bright red mark on the side of my cheek which took 5 days to fade.
On both occassions I was more embarrassed by explaining what I had done to my family than I was about the end results, I suspect your feeling much the same. Just keep your chin up, its probably not as bad as you think. You've already said it doesn't really show so inspite of the cut, so worry about what you can see not what you can't.
Yes!!!! I had something similar happen to me. I put a suction cup of about diameter=2in. onto my forehead for laughs and had a huge red mark when I took it off that lasted several days.
A ways back probably around my 1 year growth point I did the same thing and my hair got caught in it but after about 15 minutes I was able to get it out it hurt like shit to lesson learned on both are parts I think.
We've all had some bad moments, experimentation that went bad. My advice, try to relax, don't panic and do anything more to it unless you're sure, just be easy on it for a while, I'm sure it's not nearly as bad as it seems.
to everyone here: be very careful when combing your hair!
Sorry about your situation. Try not to worry about it too much.
As your hair regrows, it will begin to blend it nicely.
And it will not take a year...just a few months to look great.
As your hair gets longer, it might be a good idea to stay away from some brushes.
*I will only use a wide tooth plastic comb and nothing else.
*When you was your hair, try not to mess up your hair.
Concentrate on the scalp.
*Use your fingers in the shower to comb through your hair and
always start at the bottom and work your way up.
* Apply conditioner and use fingers again to gently combing out your hair. (starting from the bottom again).
*When you towel dry, do NOT RUB! Squeeze gently.
* L'Oreal Melting Gel is a great detangler. Work it through
yout hair and it will actually prevent your hair from clumping
and sticking together.
*Comb through gently, working your way up a couple of inches at a time.
*Don't rush. Take your time.
I'm guessing you have "fine" hair.
Round brushes are only good up to a certain length of hair. Once the hair is so long, you should use other things to help curl your hair (rollers, large curling irons, etc.).
Brushes: Please purchase yourself a high quality boar-bristle brush. (It's probably going to cost over $30).
Live and learn. Good luck.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Better than breaking off from all the bleach.
Put the brush down and step away from the brush!
