Hi Madoc
Just like to say I checked out your 'My Mane' site - you've got some really great photos there and your hair looks really cool. How long are you intending to grow it?

I've been growing my mane, from a shaved head start, for about six years now. I'm not aiming for any max length milestone. I figure I'll keep it long until I decide to do something else. Right now it's past my shoulder blades in back and that seems about the length it stays healthy and unsplit.
I like it this long and so too does my partner, Julia. So, that's good enough for now.

My hair also seems to have an optimum length. I'm trying to grow it a little bit longer than I've had it for the last couple of years - perhaps by three inches or so but I have noticed a few split-ends starting to creep in.
By the way I too also build furniture. I saw your page about making bookcases - I just had to resize a standard one today and cut it down to fit the space after we had the radiators moved in our house. I promote any sort of creativity!
