having long hair is no big deal I have long hair because i like it but if i had to get it cut for a better job or something like that i would its not that big a deal some people in here sem to think long hair is THE most important thing in there life i feel sorry for them

If long hair on men is no "big deal" as you say then why would an employer ask you to cut it? Seems that those who are not longhairs consider it a "big deal". I have had problems with my employer regarding my shoulder-length hair. I have refused to give in and as a result have recently accepted another job offer (for less money), but for an employer who sees past my long hair.
If longhaired men continue to give in to pressure to "cut it" then the discrimination we face is not going to end. It is our life, and it IS important that one be able to wear their hair as they wish. What's the big deal about that?
