Guys,
I'm a Longhair in San Diego looking for others down here. There has to be other Bi/Gay Longhairs here! Right? Looking for playmates, buddies, and???
Drop by my site and drop me a line.

Well, I'm from San Diego, but I'm not gay. One of my sons is, though, and many of his friends have become mine over the years. Someone recently wrote here about the scarcity of gay longhairs, and he was exactly right. When I go over to Hillcrest (a community of San Diego that's the focus of gay life here), the only males with long hair that I see are guys holding up "will work for food" signs and -- if I catch my reflection in a store window -- myself. The funny thing is, in other parts of town, certain types assume I must be gay because of my long hair -- especially if I'm wearing a hair tie to match my pink shirt. :-) So much for stereotypes.
Anyway, I'm going to go out on a limb and make a completely unsupported speculation (probably wrong): Could it be that because most gay men have experienced way too much rejection and scorn for being different, when they finally find themselves in a milieu where they are accorded acceptance and respect, they tend to conform as closely as they can to blend in with their brothers? Please don't blast me for this; like I said, it's just a speculation.
Good luck, Madoc. Hope you find a like-minded longhair.

why dont you post this in the gay long hair page ...........not all long hairs are gay ..........most are not
Dear Hey: You're right. Most longhairs aren't gay -- but some are.
Most longhairs don't ride Harleys -- but some do. Most longhairs aren't medical doctors -- but some are. Most longhairs aren't burger flippers -- but some are. Most longhairs aren't narrowminded ignorant bastards -- but there may be one or two around who are like that.
So what's your point, Chief? As if I didn't know.

LONGHAIR, SHORTHAIR

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE! ACCEPT EVERYONE AS THEY ARE. FOCUS ON THE THINGS THAT ARE BEAUTIFUL ABOUT EACH OF US. THERE'S SO MUCH PREJUDICE AND HATE ALREADY IN THE WORLD, DO WE NEED MORE? THE OTHER DAY SOMEONE SAID I HAD HAIR LIKE A GIRL AND IT LOOKS "STUPID." I SAID BACK TO HIM: WHAT A WONDERFUL EARING YOU HAVE. I HEARD THAT IF A BUNCH OF CHICKENS SEE ANOTHER CHICKEN WITH A SPOT ON IT, THEY ALL START PECKING AT IT BECAUSE IT DOESN'T BELONG THERE; THEY PECK AT IT UNTIL THEY KILL IT. ARE WE A BUNCH OF CHICKENS? NOT! LOVE AND FORGIVENESS ARE TRULY THE MOST POWER FORCES ON EARTH. WHY DO YOU THINK THEY ARE SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO DIFFICULT TO ACCEPT INTO YOUR LIFE. WE'RE BEAUTIFUL BEINGS, ALL OF US. LET'S CELEBRATE THAT!
right on man
Blondie,
Making the rounds eh! Good deal!
I couldn't agree more. However, one person doesn't. Actually it seems like that is the only person on this board who does disagree. All of the other folk on the board either couldn't be bothered to post or have posted in support. Either way that is a good sign.
So long as we keep the focus on hair, our common thread here, everything is fine. I like that.
Keep it long!

all we are saying is give peace a chance
Hello hey!
I'm sorry if you found this offensive for that was not my intent. I am a Longhair in San Diego who also happens to be bi. Therefore, I am looking for other bi and gay Longhairs in my area. That is why I posted here. By making that post I did not imply that every other person on this hyperlist was gay or bi or not straight. I was just trying to be specific. That is, afterall, one of the primary benefits of posting on a list like this; you can be as specific as you want to be. I take it from your post then, that you are neither gay nor bi. Cool. Then my post was not directed to you. Please feel free to ignore this thread in the future.
As to posting my message on the Gay Longhair board, I have. My message, in similar form, has been posted as far and wide as I can get it out there. Volume counts! I appreciate your suggestion to be specific by posting it there as well. Thank you.
I will see you on-line!

Gee, and here I was thinking this message was for me!!! ;P
Seriously though, I found the Gay Longhair hyperboard first and then found this one. Here is the URL for it:
http://www.choisser.com/gaylonghair/
It is run by Bill Choisser and his page is worth checking out too!

Relax you uptight homophobe. Anyone who feels the need to make it clear that he/she is not gay is most likely harboring some serious latent homosexual tendencies. It's okay that you're gay, nobody here will hold it against you.
