My girlfriend, Caitlin, had her hair cut yesterday. In case you aren't familiar with the situation from my previous post, Caitlin's mom puts pressure on her to have a six inch "trim" every summer (She's three months shy of 18). While I don't want to have another discussion about this behavior, I will inform you that Caitlin dosen't so much like having her hair length mandated, but, unlike me, she can shrug it off and say that it is "just hair."
Getting to the point, her layered cut was one to about her shoulders/blades. She also had her hair permed so that her curl could be slightly tighter. What this means is that I have surpassed her in visual hair length as well as in about 5/6's head coverage length. While I am sad to see her hair be cut (I loooove long hair), I am glad to see her excited over a new change. I am also, being the creature of vanity that I am(!), kind of enjoying being the one who now wears the hair in the relationship.
Here are two photos taken today. In case you care, my hair hasn't changed much. I have sucessfully reduced shampooing to once per week and slayed the initial dandriff that came with it. I also purchased a spiraling down creme from Trade Secret that has helped me reduce frizz and give me better color, weight, and kiwi scent. I am still keeping to a constant growth rate, with the acception of some locks near what would be the bald spot of my head, which tend to grow slower (I hear that this is common). I am at 25 months and still aim for terminal length.
Caitlin is wearing two hair pins in the first two photos, but it's not too tough to visualize her bangs reaching her neck.
And now to see where I have come since February (6 months ago). It now takes several months for me to notice a change.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. If I was that age, with that hair, and that girlfriend, my smile would be so big it'd cover my face. You'd see nothing but teeth!

Your hair really is super f'n cool. I just saw your birthdate on the User Directory page, and was surprised to see you're only 8 months older than me. I thought you were about 24.

Haha it is always great to see pictures of you redleader, you hair is awesome and an inspiration for me to keep going.. your girlfriends hair is still good in my opinion and if chance comes for it to be longer, so be it..
That's great looking hair-on both of you. Are you still letting your goatee grow to terminal? Some close-ups of your hair would be great.

Nope. I let the gotee grow to about 3.5 inches and then called it quits. I cut it off to go to a drag ball in April. I didn't have the same drive or desire to grow it as I do my hair. It was just an college experiment.
