This is a forum full of dream-men!! I dont get why a lot of guys freak out about the idea of growing their hair. Are they afraid they will turn into a homosexual if they do?
I certainly think women are allowed. I appreciate their input.
As for men being afraid of growing long hair - maybe some of them are. Some, I'm sure, just don't want the extra work. Short hair is alot easier to take care of, even if it is unattractive.
As for me, I don't mind if my hairstyle looks a little on the feminine side. I can take the heat. And, I love the way it looks.

Feminine, masculine, cute, handsome, adorable, mature, childish, and on and on and on... Seems to just be a lot of words describing everything and nothing at the same time. For me, it's how I feel about my self, without words. Others can think what they want, and I choose to be myself. I don't understand hate as it is not even an option for me. I do understand dislike towards dirty-ness, irresponsibility, and an overall unfriendly attitude, especially in the working sector. This not being the situation though, I really fail to see the problem with long beautiful clean and neat hair on a man who loves himself and is polite and courteous to others around him. I, as a longhaired man, make every effort to show kindness to others, even if they are being hateful. I realize that hate comes from either being hurt or from having been taught. When taught, it is ignorance and prejudice. That is ashame, because it is not genuine knowledge. You know what though, if more and more of us longhair men can continue to be a shining example of goodness to others, people do change. It is certainly not always real soon. And, isn't it a great feeling to know that you have done your part towards a positive change on our great planet with all six billion of us. Jazbrd
I agree totally with that comment.

The more people will witness something like that the more they will be open to accept the difference in our look.
May the change of millenium open a new era of acceptance amoung humanbeing...
It's so weird that you say that about long hair being feminine, because I continue to view it as masculine, radical, non-mainstream. As has been stated over and over on this site, gays with long hair face as much or even more discrimination within their community than we do. My brother is gay and wouldn't be caught dead with long hair, both because his community objects as does his employer (his moustache can't even cover his upper lip, per company regulations!).
I welcome women's input on this site; please keep it up.
I don't think that the men are worried about becoming homosexual if they grow their hair long. Instead they are mostly afraid of societies reactions and labels. I am a guy and I love the bob style. My stylist recomended it because it suited my hair and features. I had my hair cut into a bob just below my ears with bangs and I loved it...but I cut it because of so much pressure from those around me saying that it was too long and too girlish. Men should be able to wear the styles that fit their hair and features just like women can but this closed minded society dictates short and tight most of the time.
I think that we all appreciate a female point of view here. I would like your opinion on a guy with a bob and bangs.
You are welcome ! We longhairs need female opinions.
Yes, we need somebody to do the laundry....
I am so sorry for that. I should be forced to cut off my hair. I really am not a chauvinist I'm just feeling a bit punchy today.
