I haven't been on for awhile, if anybody actually remembers me. I had to trim my hair because of the relaxer. Now my hair is at my chin and my second length touches the bottom of neck. Well anyway, my hair still has plenty of bleached parts all over it. I was considering dying it all back to my natural color but I think it would just provoke the damage even more. I know it will take probably a year and a half before I can cut off all of my bleached hair and start of with my natural color. Should I dye it? I really need to make a decision fast because I have to start school in about two weeks and I don't want to have blonde hair one day and then come back with dyed brown hair, it might freak some people out. lol =O
Consider getting it done professionally. Many people who have tried to color over bleached hair themselves have ended up with greenish-gray hair, rather than brown.
Well thank you, I thought you were going to suggest bumblebee stripes again. =O I don't think I'll dye it back to some fake brown though.
Blonde its been a week - of course we remember you... :-)
I'd recommend leaving your hair alone for a few months, blonde or dark who cares? I wouldn't rush into anything because your blonde "grow-out" will be gradual. Your natural roots colour will start to take show and should you choose to dye back to your natural colour in a few months time, enough of your roots will be showing to not make the process too drastic for those around you.
You might also choose to temporarily colour your roots to match your blonde length. But whatever your decision, use temporary hair colours not peroxide, they won't do anywhere near as much damage and they can be reversed.
Obviously whatever you choose to do, get it done professionally.
Good Luck Blonde & happy growing...
