I've been thinking of thinning out my hair and dying it a dark color ( almost black ) because my eyebrows are almost black but not my mustache ( that's why I shave it off ). I need suggestions what I should do to give my hair some style. I'm really into alot of music and I try to make a look of a rocker ( Yes, I know that makes me sound like a poser but I am not poser ). Once again, any suggestions? Thanks
Hey DanMan
You have really cool hair... I wouldn't recommend thinning because your hair is not overly thick. Thinning would be a bad move as it would just create irregular layers in it. Personaly I think your hair has exceptional style already. I wouldn't change a thing.
If I'm being hypercritical then a little leave in conditioner to reduce the frize and stray short hairs around you part, but then I know I am being hypercritical about something I do next to nothing about myself.
In fact to hell with it you hair is practically perfect, it looks really cool why change it?
Sorted
nothing wrong with having eyebrows, mustache, bear and hair that do NOT match in color.
I believe many people other there experience the same thing.
The hair on my head does not match up with hair growing on my face.
(I don't have a beard but I once did).
I knew one guy who had naturally blond hair, a brownishish mustach and
a red beard! And all the colors were natural, too.
With so many people getting piercings and tattoos to be different...
why not allow your various hair colors to make you to
be unique?!
Think about it.
Good Luck!
Your hair does look cool the way it is. My eyes are the same colour as yours and when I tried dying my hair black it just looked so un-natural.
If you do decide to dye your hair I recommend a temporary one first just in case, like me, you end up not liking it. If you like it then obviously you could dye it permanently.

I have the same colour eyes too, but my hair is natually darkbrown and some people say it looks black (even though it isn't). I don't think it looks unnatural, but I guess there's a difference between natural and dyed.
Anyway I agree that DanMan's hair looks fine the way it is.
I saw a black-metal band play the other day, and there was a guy with blonde hair, one with brown, one with red, etc. Just to show you can be a 'rocker' without changing your hair.
I know most of you guys think a proper goal length is shoulders and beyond but suddenly seeing this young man's second photo my goal length has changed and now it's simply where he is. It looks not too long that it would get me in heat with my job but just long enough to be called long.
Cody
I wouldn't mess with my color. 1. Damage. 2. If you don't like it you may have a hard time dying it back to match the original color, theny you are stuck with a line that moves down your hair or you have to cut it and start over.
If your goal length is much longer, start conditioning now. Are you rubbing your head with a towel, blow drying, or otherwise doing something that might be damaging? You gotta stop if you are, or the frizz will take over.
I use a hairdryer occasionaly on the back side of my head becuase there's this wave in the back whenever I wash my hair and I use the hair dryer to kill it but I never use a towel to dry my hair. I let it dry on my own and I use Conditioner.
keep in mind that if you dyed your hair a darker color you would look pretty gothic. if thats what you want then go for it, otherwise stick with your natural color (but keep shaving). one thing you should definitely do is get some good conditioner, your hair is nice but you've got a bad problem with fly-away hairs.
Yeah, I know. I hang out with alot of metal heads and gothic people so if I dyed my hair people probably wouldn't think I'm a poser. But I don't have a problem with my natural hair color. I thought maybe I'd do something new to it and give it a new color... But I dunno, I guess I'll keep it the way it is since I'm still growing it out.
Looks good. Is that a DOCTOR WHO recording that I see in the background of your first (frontal) pic?!?
You have beautiful hair. I think you should keep it as it is.
I wouldnt thin it out tho cos its not overly thick, you could just get some texture at the front like so you have separated bits if you know what i mean. My hair is similar colour to yours, ive been thinking of dyeing mine darker too...its natually darker in the winter but the sun has bleached it slightly : ( if you do go for a v.dark brown which looks black from a fair distance, it will match your skin tone better. Pure black will probably look a bit odd cos your a guy, looks great on girls who can wear makeup and make them selves look porcelain white, but it would probably look unnatural or rather 'gothic' looking on a guy. Or for a more subtle darkening you could try the aveda black malva range which will remove the red tones in your hair and darken it somewhat but I found it made mine a dull dark, not the glossy shiny dark you get from using a dye.
