After hearing so many things about the Matrix Sleek Look line, I was excited to hear they released a new Iron Smoother spray-on treatment to use before a flat iron. I typically just wash and condition my hair (with the Jason Natural Cosmetics Damage Control line), put in some jojoba oil, let it dry, flat iron it and use a bit more jojoba. But I thought a bit more protection against the heat -- which is what this product is supposed to provide -- couldn't hurt. It's also supposed to add shine, make your hair silky-smooth and protect against humidity.
In short, using this stuff was like putting hairspray on my hair then flat-ironing it. My hair ended up stiff and dull and looked altogether unhealthy...the complete opposite of what it was supposed to do (and yes, I followed the directions word-for-word). So I'm back to my old routine and have once again learned to not mess with something that's not broken.
Just a word of warning to anyone who's thinking about buying this product. Again, I've heard the rest of the line is incredible, so I'm hoping this product is just a dud...albeit a huge, stinking dud.
