Hey all,
With this pic i posted i wanted get some advice if i should cut my hair to even it up or should i just continue growing it out. It is about 9 1/2 months of growth from a stubble buzz cut. I know eventually i will want it all the same legnth, but i want some input from people that know what they are talking about. :P

Hair wont turn into a mullet without you having it done. I grew out from a buzz cut with no trims and my hair has evened out fine.
By all means let it continue to grow. ALL will even-out in time. Being in the Awkward Stage brings forth many a different look that is in constant change. If the "Mullet look" be it at a certain stage just put up with it until all evens out.
Its looking cool so far. I'd just let it grow for at least another 9½ months, and it will look a lot better.
...personally think that it's a personal choice. It all comes down to how you want your hair to look (or not look) while growing it out. I previously grew my hair out to one length, and now I'm regrowing to one length. The first time, I kept cutting the back. This time I only cut the back a couple of times and I actually enjoyed having a mullet (again!). In fact, I received compliments!
However, you expressed that you do not want a mullet. I, too, started regrowing from a buzz cut. Just because of the placement of hair on your head, you will definitely have a mullet if you don't cut the back since the hairs on the back of your head are farther down. So, if you don't want a mullet, cut the back until the other sides even up because if you don't, a mullet is inevitable for a while.
