Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
This is nonsense! As a person who is of Cherokee descent, this really irks me.
Granted, the guy did get locked up. But still!
How can inmates be easier detected if they have shaved hair that is so nonsense. When I was in jail for 11 months there was not 1 escape attempt, except for on the work crew. Besides someone's hair is easier to pull if it is long. Now maybe it would keep inmates from hiding shanks in their hair, but then they should make female inmates have very short hair too.
I was reading the article.....could someone explain how
having short hair would make you easier to spot? I would think
it would be the other way around.
It doesn't make you easier to spot. Guards and wardens and jail admins want to have control over the inmates, to let you know you are not free. I was only in jail so I can't speak for prison inmates, but in my jail you could have waist length hair and they wouldn't say nothing, but they would let girls have hair bands for their hair, but not guys. One of the long haired inmates at my jail was complaining that guys need to have hair bands too
