I've been letting my hair grow for the past year and had plans to grow it...not sure, but damn long! I hadn't discussed this with my wife, but I figured there would come a day when she would ask me to get it cut back to the corporate geek style. Last night she told me she really liked where it is now, and was looking forward to seeing how long it could get. I was amazed and impressed, as she might have been the only obstacle to my growing it hugely long. Moral of this story: Don't discuss things in theory--let them see what it's going to look like (great!) first.
