Hi everyone,
Q #1: A few days ago, I finally got round to buying a bandana, or a big square handkerchief, you know what I mean;)
Anyway, I followed Gollan's instructions on his website about how to tie a Bandana headband. (that's the style most appealing to me)
I'm having trouble with my bangs, as they are not long enough for a ponytail and the headband would keep them away from eyes, so I was wondering, where do the bangs sit when I put the bandana on? Are they meant to fall over the top of my bandana, by my forehead region? Or are they meant to be slicked back on the top of my head?
Q #2: Today I bought Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance for the first time, haven't used it yet, but I plan on using it sometime tonight. I noticed that it requires no other conditioner, and only 'Ausie Miracle moist shampoo' (which I have)
The bottle states, that I should towel dry my hair. Since starting to grow my hair out, a towel has not come close to my hair except when some shampoo burns my eyes, but anyway....Do I have to towel dry? I don't want to damage my hair, couldn't I just leave my hair to dry natually and then use it? Maybe they don't expect that some people have the time and care for their hair so much as to let their hair dry naturally?
Thanks for any help.
P.s To Justin: Finally, after searching high and low, my local Boots the chemist has just brought in the V05 Hot Oil Treatment :) I am going to SO try that tomorrow!!!
LOL, the great bangs debate. Over the band looks cool but only works for relatively short bangs. You need even shorter bangs to have them hang down under the band. For medium-length bangs you can always part your hair down the middle and push the bangs to each side under the band (a side part works too). If you really want to have the bangs slicked back but find they come loose you can either use bobby pins (and hide them under the band) or consider tying the bandana in the head-covering style. Good luck. Please post a picture when you get it sorted out!
Towel drying is only damaging if you rub your hair fast with a towel and create friction. You can still use a towel to dry by drapping it over your head and patting or putting pressure.
Hi Surferdude
I think the main thing behind really going at your hair with a towel is that after a long enough period it wears it down little by little and makes it apt to break, or worse some hair even pulled-out by the roots. When you think of it, our hair is subjected to alot during the day that slightly grinds away at it. And at night especially..............that is unless one can somehow sleep with their head off the end of the bed. lol
For myself, I use a towel and simply pat into the hair until water isn't dripping all over the place. Sorry I can't help with the Bandana question as I use something else which you will see in one of my photos............if and when they can EVER be uploaded! At least the disc IS installed.......but correctly? It had to be done manually with the help of a tech from Dell and took (over the phone) about 1-1/2 hours. Yikes!
Good Surferdude. If anything like myself and only one other guy that has ever posted about this product on the Hyperboard that I know of, I hope you will experience fantastic results like you wouldn't believe! Please let us know how it goes.
As good as Aussie Shampoo is, I now use a kids shampoo instead as does Resonance does I believe also. In any event, the Hot Oil results are noted right away. The longer the hair the more it would be noted I would think, but just wait until you try combing through wet hair without a single tangle or snap. The comb just "glides" as if through air. :-)
My best to you as always
Justin
