i have a real thing about men with long hair. i'm not talking girly straightened hair or hair to the waist but proper rock star hair like steven tyler in the late '70s or jon bon jovi in the'80s. very helpful if long hair is accessorised with a leather jacket and tattoos.
is it just me or lately do men with long hair seek perfect shine and condition?? theres nothing rebelious about it any more. i for one would not date a guy whos hair was in better condition than mine!!
i think, in my humble opinion, that long hair should give the impression that a man has just stepped of stage or off a harley.
... for Different Folks.
Personally I like to just wash and condition my hair every few day, and pretty much let it do it's thing
the rest of the time.
I hope that's not taking too well care of it :)
"Proper rock star hair"??? ANY kind of long hair a rockstar chooses to wear his hair is "proper rock star hair". Who's to say what kind of long hair is proper??

She is, apparently.

Lol, my hair's in bad condition no matter what I do!
Mine is always full of split ends, does that count!
I think Rock Star Groupie is in a minority. Most women I know only like male long hair if it is in good condition.
Still it's nice to know someone fancies us long haired blokes even on bad hair days, LOL! FWIW, I used to both sing in a band and ride motorcycles (not Harleys, they are way too expensive).
It's nice to see that there are finally guys out there who are willing to take the care needed to keep their hair in good condition.
I can't imagine dating a guy who teased and sprayed his hair a la glam rock. Too weird, at least off-stage.
You are right about one thing--among the Harley crowd, there are lots of guys with ratty hair. And if it's still too neat for you, throw away his conditioner and talk him into a razor trim - sure to increase the number of split ends for you. :-)
And my hair is in better condition than roughly 95% of the women that attend our shows. You know what? I'm actually PROUD to admit that. You also mentioned something about "girly straightened hair"; who are you to say what is considered "girly" or not? I also straighten my hair, and I find nothing "girly" about it. Hair doesn't have a gender (biologically, anyway) so why call straightened hair "girly?"
Proper rockstar hair? HAH. Listen to this....
True "rock n' rollers" do whatever the hell they want. They don't do something because it is "expected" of them, which includes their looks. If they did things that were expected of them, they would probably have a desk job, and wouldn't be playing in a rock band. I wear nice looking clothes, and my hair is ALWAYS immaculate; I may not fit what you think a rockstar should look like, but do I care? Hell no! I'll wear what I want, when I want, and I'll style my hair however I want to.
So I guess in a way, by wearing nice clothes and having immaculate hair, I'm rebelling against the sterotype of what the average person thinks a rockstar should look like.
Hi
i wasnt judging what is classed as 'proper'rock star hair i was merely trying to find out if modern 'bands' who claim to be rock stars but are really clean cut boy banders were really where long / longish hair was going!!
i find that i am a minority in my attraction to men with long hair ESPECIALLY in my age group!! most people i have met who are around my age think any one over 30 is ancient and that long hair is more likely to be associated with a '70s revival disco.
i wasnt actually alive in my favourite decades 60's / 70's but i think that it the fact that i know of a fair few of the groups and rock stars around then is a testiment to not only the longevity of their music but also to long hair in general.
I'm still not really sure what you mean. What is it that people now do, that they didn't
earlier?
What exactly are you opposing?
Infact, I think you'll find a lot of men with long hair who don't care for it particularly well. There are only a handful who choose to keep it neat and clean.
I think long hair 'in my humble opinion' should give the impression that a man has just played a
fantastic piece of music at a classical concert hall, looking neat in his attire but hair slightly
ruffled.
I think that is much better.
I'm glad Im not attracted to girls, you people are way too picky. From your post I can assume that you're stuck up and can't stand not being the best at something, which is why I would feel terribly sorry for any guy who would actually try to fit in with you. However, if it is the "rebel" look you are going for, shave your head.
Hi
are you just being nice to those with long scruffy hair or are you so stuch up that you cannot allow anyone any freedom of opinions.
i have to say that i did have a bit of a crush on jon bon jovi. along with keith richards, mich jagger, steven tyler, rod stewert , jim morrison and even dare i admit it prince!!
you say you werent alive in your favourite decades well neither was i!! i was born in '86 so must of the men i had little things for were about 30 to 40 years older then me but i dont think that people should be judged on their age!!
youth is no excuse for bigoted opinions!!
