Hi guys, my hair is at about 10-11 months now and its getting long but the thing is; it doesnt go straight down. It just wraps around itself making curly locks. When I wake up in the morning its so wavy and curled up, I cant even brush through with a comb. I have to dunk my head in water and towel dry. After I do that it hangs down past my nose and can go into my mouth. Is there anyway I can keep it that way using something?
There probably is, by way of using lots and lots of products.
Sounds to me like you just have wavy hair, and as much as I understand you might like the look of poker-straight hair, I think you probably have lots of life in your hair as it is.
Personally I think that straight hair without any kinks or curls can look a little boring - obviously this isn't always the case (look at Kiat for example - it can look shiny and beautiful.)
But God has gifted you with naturally curly locks, and thick as your hair might be, I think that's just the way it is. Probably over time as it gets longer, you'll find it's not as bad in the mornings. Mine is more resistant in the mornings too, although I just wash it every morning so i don't have to tear out hair with a brush.
Can you post a picture at some stage? Just so I can see what it looks like generally - and in the mornings too.
From the sound of things, it probably looks fine.
And remember, the grass is always greener - don't think you have to straighten it for it to look good!
Good luck.

Wolfeyes is right, plus your bang in the middle of the "awkward stage", you hair is gonna misbehave. If your hair is curly or wavy, then its probably better to make the most out of it. Though I must admit, having wavy hair can be awkward at times, mine is naturally wavy, but the length pulls the first 5 inches straight, the last 5 inches have less weight beneath them pulling them straight so they tend to kink and curl.
If I want a straighter look, I'll use a little straightening balm (Redken: Straight Line 05, pricey but you only need to use a miniscule amount so its good value.) Generally I use it to remove a kink in my crown and a little on the ends beneath my ears to stop them flipping.
