Hey guys, just thought you'd like to see these pics of my cousins hair. It used to be "bum" length, but she had it trimmed to stop her headaches. Now she wants it trimmed again - about another 4 inches off, and layers.... :-( lol, It will still be nice hair though!

Please tell us her secret, what she does/doesn't do with her hair to get it in such beautiful condition! I wish mine would be in such great condtion if I ever decided to grow it to waist length.

i dont use any fancy stuff just the cheapest but alternate regulary
wash every other day(if i can be bothered)

Really? I look after my hair, and like everyone else here, I don't think anyone's hair our hair here looks as good as yours (except for Sorted's). You've got awesome hair, just don't get layers, it looks A star as it is!

Why does it need to be cut? I think Gaz said you want 4 inches or so cut off, how about trimming 1 inch at the most?! It looks stunning and you'd be one of the minorities with such long hair, girls and even guys would be so jealous of your hair!

What do you mean with headache? I have the same hair and hair isn't that heavy that it causes headache! Mine is very light and sometimes I have to hear too "Isn't that heavy" Not at all! It only can hurt if you put it in a tight bun or tail.
I hear this all the time, too. "Isn't it heavy? Doesn't it give you headaches? My sister had hair down to her shoulders, and she had a headache, the doctor told her to get it cut, and the headache went away...My daughter had a fever, the doctor told her to cut her hair, and the fever went away..."
"Take two aspirin, cut your hair, and come back next week."
Doctors would have us all shave our heads to save them the bother of diagnosing the causes of our headaches.
Reducing the length of the hair has probably also reduced the maintenance required. Possibly a figure of speech rather than her hair actually causing the headaches maybe. I know for a fact that if my hair was that long the maintenance needed probably would give me a bad head after a while.

Actually, I've often been told that long hair causes headaches, and they go away when you cut it. People are amazed that I don't get headaches, are convinced that my hair (all 4.5 ounces of it) must be pulling my scalp so hard I am incapacitated. After all, everyone they know who had long hair got headaches, was told by the doctor to cut it, did so, and was cured.

Possibly the pulling of the hair everyday by accidently sitting on it ot getting it caught could make her have headaches?

First did cutting her hair stop the headaches?
Second, my hair reaches my ankles, and the only time I get headaches directly related to my hair is when my updos slip and pull on my scalp. (LOL, or else when the "headache" is because I don't wanna detangle after dancing, or something, and my hair has become a big mess!)

Nice hair you are right, but I would try to talk her out of getting it layered. I hope mine looks like that when it gets that long.
