Up intil today i had pretty long hair. it was proabably about 6 inches and growing. my parents were making me get it cut and to prove a point i got sissors and cut my bangs really short out of frustration. its only a little chunk but their only like 1/2 an inch. so i went to the hair cutting place and they did their best and i hate it. i know i got what i derserve lol. but neway its like 4 inches now and i have to side part it to cover it up. i am just going to get a buzz and start fresh.
Just let it grow out. How could anything look worse than a buzz cut?

Hearing that someone is planning to get a buzzcut is not the kind of post we are hoping to read as this is a common practice that we reject.
At 6" you were just getting started on a journey though this may seem long to you now. If you still have 4" then why wipe it out if you really want longer hair? It will take you three times as long to get back to 6" if you buzz it. From 4" it will only take 2" instead of 6".
Maybe your parents will only let it get so long now but why not keep it at that maximum length instead of less?
One thing that some young guys here learn is that if you keep pushing it a little farther each time then your parents will often come to change their demands for overly short hair as you get older (they start getting used to it).
I think buzz cuts look ok, they are just not for me, you got to have the right face shape for it. I use to get high and tights all the time when my dad was in the military so short hair is not so bad, my advice to you if you really want long hair is to just let it grow out. It will take more than half a year to even get to the point where you can style it.
