Yes, I think you are right, there are more and more tennis players with long hair. I saw a Tennis-match with tommy on tuesday. He had a very good looking half ponytail. So he was my inspiration for my next mornings style :-)
But it looked better to him, cos my hair is much longer and my face isn't very nice :-)
MMMBOP
Ooooh, so do I - that's pretty much the style I'm aiming for.
Nice to know it looks good on someone else :)

Check out Nicolas Massu from Chile... He sports some nice long hair, past his shoulders, almost mid back length, he just won Chile's first Olympic gold medal.
Yes I have noticed that as well. That is why I watch tennis more often now. I especially like Gaston Guadio and Roger Federer's hair.
Yeah! I really loved him. I felt a bit un-patriotic rooting for him, but I just thought he was so cool! I'd love to see that hair clean and loose. Did you notice one guy in the stands the day before (he seemed to be one of their coaches) with the fairly-long hair? He kinda looked like Alice Cooper. His hair was nice, too.
I'm a big fan of watching Tennis, having seen every major since I was 10 or so.
I noticed the long hair trend starting a couple years back, mainly with Malisse and Nalbandian (although don't forget Rafter!), and then this past year it was like BOOM, every second guy seemed to have a ponytail, although admittedly of the shorter kind.
This was especially evident at this years 2004 French Open, where there were tons of guys even I had never seen before celebrating their hair. It was really great to see, awesome in fact!
Now that I think back on it, one of the reasons I started watching tennis in the first place was because of an Agassi vs Courier match in 1990 or 91'. While I didn't specifically think of his mane at the time-hey I was 6 or 7!-I do remeber thinking how darn cool he looked.
In any event, I think years from now, this era of Tennis will be remembered (in terms of its aethetics) for long-haired male players, perhaps in the same way that we remeber the short shorts of the 80's in relation to men (i.e. Borris Becker), although I'm sure in a more positive correlation.
And hey, perhaps this 'trend' will continue!
I started watching as Boris Becker won his first Wimbeldon. I'm from Germany so I started watching this sport more. But back in that time almost no player had long hair only in the last years it started to be a trend and now many have it. I hope they can bring out the message that its cool to have long hair!
