Yeah, sometimes I feel as if my hair isn't growing at all (even though I can see it when I pull the bangs down), cause it all curls up. Then it's good to see that it's actually coming along nicely

I was just browsing your site and took a look at your hair before you had the dreads done - it was really long! How long did that length take you to grow, and do you remember how long it was? It looked curled up, and even then it was very long.
Also, you look so different than you did in 2000. The beard suits you very well.

I remember that my last haircut was in January 2001, but I'm not sure how short that haircut was. The pre-dreads picture is sometime in 2002, I think it may have been april or may. I'm getting it to around 15-16 months of growth+what was there from the start.
It may look ok in that picture, but it was horribly ruined (you see that picture with red hair? That was the ends of my hair then, just dyed black. It started to look ridiculous, which is why I got dreads. This time around I've got a fresh start with all undamaged hair.
I don't recall how long it really was. As you can see, from that picture to the dreaded one there's almost a year, and it never got very much below my shoulders.
Thank you, and yeah there is a huge change. Still, I was 17 in 2000 and almost 21 now, so it's a time when changes occur naturally.
Nice length. I sympathise with you on it feeling like it doesn't grow because of the curl. I actually "felt" like a longhair in the shower, months before I felt like a longhair when dry.
