Hello all. I'm a 24 year old guy who's frantic about the sight of loosing his hair. It seems like it's been a very slow progression with the top of my head becoming less and less populated with my hair. I have naturally curly long fine hair at which measures to my shoulders. And I have had it braided twice before within the past couple years. I'm not sure if this could be the reason it started or lack of vitamins or what. I understand that a person looses hair daily but who knows how much is normal? When I do shower I do wash off some hair but could it be that it's too much? Does anyone have any sound advice for me. Thank you.
THE BEST IDEA: SEE YOUR DOCTOR AND DISCUESS IT WITH HIM(HER)! Your doctor now has treatments for hair loss but more importantly can tell you the cause... give your doc a call! JL
100 hairs a day is normal. If you're thinning, there is not much you can do. Nature's cruel joke on men who love long hair, make it fall out.

Jagorama,
Beside the natural progression toward hair loss in some men, the lack of certain vitamins and minerals and STRESS can contribute greatly to hair loss.
I agree with JL's advice to see your Doc. Hair loss in men AND women can be caused by extreme stress. How's your job? ;)
Take care of yourself, please!
