Hey guys!
Does anyone else notice this but I have found that whenever I change shampoo after using the same one for a bit my hair seems to go much better (flatter and more sleek/shiny) and then gradually it will go back to having little flyaway bits all over the place. It doesn't seem to matter what shampoo I use - I think I'll have found the solution and then after a couple of weeks or so it will go back to having these little bits sticking out and my ponytail gets bushy. Next time I change shampoo to something else the same happens again - it'll be alright for a while and then it will gradually go bushy again until I next change.
I have heard various things about leave in conditioners - can anyone advise on these? Do they make your hair feel greasy and has anyone noticed any adverse skin reactions/scalp problems?
I also find that if it rains and I then comb my hair and tie it back, by the time it's dry it looks wonderful.
Thanks guys
cant say ive noticed it with shampoo, but ive often thought the same thing about conditioners. have no idea why it happens... maybe ur hair gets immune to wotever is in them...
Its probably due to buildup, a shampoo cannot wash away its own residue, whilst another one maybe able too, but if you stick with the same one without clarifying you get buildup and you hair starts to behave crazy : ( you could stick with your fav one and use a clarifyer every few washes.
There are lots of these, as for scalp irritation lots its something you'd have to see for yourself, they are not greasy if used in moderation and properly, maybe start with something cheap and simple and effective like the aussie one.
Many years ago, I used to rent a room in a house where one of the other tenants was a girl who was a research chemist. She used to bring home shampoo from the lab in unmarked bottles with various bright colours (not dyes) added. This was so she could rotate them, washing with different shampoos each time. We all washed our hair with it.
I have been using Revlon Flex since forever. I used it all the time back home in England, and I moved to the US fifteen years ago and still use the same stuff. This post has reminded me that I ought to occassionally use something else.
Yeah it's normal for that to happen...
The question I have is: If you were to buy 5 different shampoos, and use a different one each day, would that mean your hair would look its best all the time????
Probably not, but it'd be nice.

it would depend on the shampoo's you chose, if you use one with too harsh a sulphate it could dry out your hair, plus there is the added unwanted possibility of commulative irritation from too many different chemicals, how would you know which ones are irritating u?
