Hello,
I'm new here. I'm not a guy, but I figure there are things I can learn from men with long hair just as well as women with long hair. I hope I won't be invading the realm of the testosterone brigade :) but I'm interested to see if there are any essential differences in how men take care of long hair and how women do. (And then find which way is best for my hair.)
I'm an Alaska currently living in Texas (not by choice, but it's where I have to be for my Ph.D. program). I haven't had short hair in about 9 years, and it's almost down to my knees now. Still, there's always new information to be gleaned from others.
Hope I can learn from you guys! :)
Hey DBF, good to see you here! I'm sure you will find that this is a great community.
Thanks, Gollan. Good to see you, too, I might add. Hope it's not weird for me to joining a men's long hair site. (Ah, but then, since when have I cared about being weird?)
Cheers!
Theres quite a few ladies whom post here, I wouldn't worry about it. Welcome to the board
Weird? I would think that more male longhair-loving women would be here. Maybe we should tell them...;-)

True, but I really came for the hair care. (I swear!) Photos of men with long hair is just a nice bonus. :)
Hello DBF, I have seen your wonderful messages elsewhere and am glad you showed up here too. :-)

Thank you! :)

Dancingbarefoot;
I forgot to ask; how are you adjusting to Texas. We just moved from Clear Lake (Houston) earlier this year. We were there for 8 years with mixed sentiments.
Hi, nice to see another person I recognize. :)
Well, Texas is interesting so far. I thought I would DIE from the heat and humidity when I got here. I almost hopped right back on the plane to Alaska. :) But I'll stick it out and try to get my degree ASAP.
Meanwhile, I'm finding that I have to do my hair a bit differently here. It takes longer to dry in this humidity and seems to get oily faster. Damn it! So I'll have to wash twice a week instead of once, I think. Oh well.
Thanks for the welcome!
