I bought jojoba oil, it came in a little tube but it says hot oil treatment. It says I should but the tube in a glass of hot water for a minute. Do I really need to do that? Can I just take a couple drops and rub it through my hair?
Oh btw, it came in a tube and it says to apply all of it for like one time use and then to wash out. Is this the wrong type or can I just use a few drops at a time to rub through my hair?
I've never tried jojoba, but to me it sounds as if you've gotten a product that contains jojoba, not the pure jojoba oil.
Is there a declaration of contents?
Are you sure it's jojoba oil? Do the ingredients say that jojoba oil is the only (or at least primary) ingredient? I've never seen a jojoba hot oil treatment. But regardless, if it's marketed as a hot oil treatment, I'd say follow the instructions on the packaging.
Cheers,
JBC
No its not pure jojoba its a lot of extra stuff in it. You gave me the link to that website where you get yours, which brand do you use. thanks.
Well, I don't know what link you are talking about, but Google has something called Froogle. Try that. The nice thing about a pure commodity like this is that unless the vendor is a bold faced liar, price is all that really matters. I'm not sure if Froogle does unit pricing though, which is what really matters for something like this.
I noticed that a lot of them are sold in 4 oz units, so I refined my search for that and added the keyword "pure".
The link at the bottom from Now Foods has a 16 oz bottle for $17.71 -- just a little more than $1/oz.
Compare that to some other place that was selling 1/4 oz for $3!!!
I've heard so much about this stuff, I've been thinking of trying it. Hyperboard Challenge: find pure jojoba for less than $1/oz, including shipping.

I really like this brand.

With every oil I've ever tried, you can do it either way. Slop tons of it on for deep conditioning, or use just a couple of drops.
I use 2-3 drops of oil for my hair (almost down to my knees), so I'd suggest starting with one drop and adding more if you need it.
Try different methods and see what works for you. The former uses up a lot more jojoba than the latter, though.
Hi, DBF. :-)

Thought you might be here. :)
Who makes it, what is the product name? Can you post the ingredients list, so we have a better idea of what it is?
