I was having a long debate with my girlfriend about waht kind of men should have long hair. i mean to insult no one but most of the guys who have long hair are not too handsome, although i have see good looking guys( i am 100% hetero, and i speak as one, for those who can't acknowledge good looks in men as men, then you are insecure, and more likely than me to be gay).
What kind of face goes with long hair?
Gandalf,
Hello and good day. First off, anyone who can not acknowledge beauty simply because it is of the same gender has got some more serious problems than simple homophobia.
As to what sort of face goes with Longhair, well, that depends. It depends on the hair of the guy whose face it frames. Some guys just do not have the right sort of hair to wear long. Others do. It also depends on the shape of the head and the shape of the face.
All of this is completely secondary though to the guy inside. If he is happy with who he is inside, then he will be happy with how he looks outside. Inner style and grace pulls off a lot more than you would think.
I would say grow it out and see. You can't really tell until you have tried it seriously at least once!
Good luck,
Madoc

How, I mean, how in the world did you come up with that assumption? I don't think you can say that "most men who have long hair are not too handsome." I don't think you can honestly judge such a thing. I have seen all manner of men with long hair from gorgeous to average looking to not so good looking, but then the same goes for short haired men as well, but that is only my opinion. If I were asked for a majority, I would have to say that I have seen more good looking men with long hair than with short hair, but then the hair adds a bonus to their looks, I think. It's still all a manner of opinion and I don't think you can finger a certain type of male to have long hair although you find more in artistic, technology and educational fields as those fields have more of a tolerance towards long hair. I find there are still a lot of men out there who would like nothing more than to grow their hair and are afraid of the backlash. I have spoken with some of these guys and they are just men who have become holed up in the "corporate" and "retail" world. I really don't think this is something that could lead to a concrete answer.

Not to mention the comment a few posts up that "longhairs should be liberal"(paraphrased)
I take that to be about as broad-thinking as "Most longhairs do drugs", or maybe that they should. Just having a good time here, but it's a slippery slope, (to borrow a phrase from a real pothead) the generalization thing.
From my personal experience, and I'm probably biased, but a long haired man should be liberal, tolerant, friendly, concerned for the welfare of others and laid back.
I wouldn't say that the proportion of good, average and bad looking men with long hair is any different from the general ration in society at large.
However, since I admire long hair on men, it probably does make a plain looking man more handsome and a handsome man even more handsome.
Furthermore, it helps if the longhaired man is slim or skinny and wears close-fitting jeans. What he wears on top is not too important and he can look quite impressive even if he wears a suit jacket on top, though please no tie.
To me, long hairs goes best with a long and slim face.
Well, those are my preferences.
