Hi all,
Well, you're probably wondering why I choose to use the "OFF TOPIC" option, it's because apparently I'm not allowed to share my progress on my hair to some here (who shall remain nameless).
Ok, so, my hair is basically getting longer and I'm amazed at the rate it has been growing. But I still have the curls which forms at the lower parts of my hair, but it's getting longer and I'm happy. :o)

It has nothing to do with HER -- it never has. Why is that wo hard to understand?
Your hair looks awesome and I love the curl, I am due for a perm but with all the bad storms here in florida and so many businesses lost from Hurricane Charley caused it will be some time now im affraid.
Its sad someone thinks anyone is not welcome to this site but then we all know there are a few that feel this is "Their" site.

Living in florida with all this sun is hard on your hair so I get the Zoto perm for some body. Otherwise my hair is straight as a board because its thick.
After getting the perm, mind showing how it looks? Would like to see!

Again, it has nothing to do with HER. Which part of "Men's" in the title of this board is unclear?
Actually it is unclear. It can be read two ways, either:
Men's Long Hair --- Hyperboard
;or
Men's --- Long Hair --- Hyperboard
I read it the first way. I assume you read it the second way.
If that is still unclear, let's put it another way. It is specifically unclear whether the adjective 'Men's' refers to the board or the hair.

...hair, it looks great! I don't know what the story is behind you supposedly not being able to post progress pics (or anything else), but you have a lot of support here and you aren't breaking any board rules that I'm aware of. Post pics anytime...without worry. :)

Ok, I saw. Just ignore. Personally, I don't agree with the harsh responses you got, but they were a clear minority. Most of us, including me, certainly feel you can post freely and you are very welcome here. Just do what you've been doing, and be happy. :)

Then you can't read very well. The posts must have something to do with men's hair. That's why it's called a "Men's Longhaired Hyperboard." Read the rules again.

I love seeing the progress you're making, and in my opinion, you're very welcome here and it's discrimination if anyone is contrary.. You, Wolfeyes, and Sorted are the three people I really look forward to seeing your progress pics. And I agree the advice on hair been given here is outstanding in my opinion, certainly beats any women's long hair board:)

Again, then rename the board to just the "Longhair Hyperboard." The fact that you may like her and find her pretty is irrelevant.

My pleasure. Well, as for my pics, it'll be a good while yet. I'm basically growing it out from a almost-buzz cut style. I've got one pic taken last week for the scrapbook. All you guys doing your timeline photos got me doing it now.
Quite welcome here! YOur hair looks wonderful. You are not relegated to OFF TOPIC status which would be second class. I'd like to think that among longhairs all human beings are just considered human.

No point in going around in circles forever over the issue, folks. Perhaps the history behind the founding of this board needs to be retold again. Victor can surely elaborate if he chooses....
Victor found that longhaired men were constantly hounded and harassed on the existing long hair boards of the time, which were predominantly populated by longhaired women. The harassment came primarily from shorthaired men who frequented the boards because they got off on longhaired women. Although most shorthaired men would not misbehave in such a fashion, there are so many shorthaired men compared to longhaired men that the small number of miscreants among them still outnumbered the longhaired men. It became apparent we needed our own space.
The problem was never with women. It cropped up because a board that discusses women's hair in time attracts men who dislike longhairs. Most longhairs are straight, and they appreciate the presence of women who are supportive. After all, straight longhairs tend to LIKE women.
That is why, as I understand it, that Victor says women are welcome here, but the topic must predominantly be "long hair on men". If the board were overrun by women he'd likely change his tune, but that has never been a problem. So long as women realize they are in a supportive role rather than center stage here, they should be welcomed by most.
There may be some GAY men who visit here wanting to get off on the male hair, but Victor is not catering to that crowd. If such a man complains about the few women who post, isn't he doing the same thing as the problem men at the other boards were doing when harassing longhaired men there? There are venues such as gaylonghair.com and the BrosOnLine Yahoo group for those who want a woman-free environment where lusting after male hair is more than welcome. [grin]
As with off topic posts in general, the moderators tolerate them to some degree, particularly when from a "regular". If they proliferate to a point where they detract from the board's focus, then they are restricted. This is often why one man's off topic post may be permitted while later someone else's may not be - NOT because the moderators have it in for a particular user. If an "off topic" has gone on too long, the moderators may clamp down on more posts on it.
So I'd say, as with all gray areas in the off-topic realm, just tread lightly and the majority should remain happy. [grin]

I think really you should consider that saying at this time.
And leave the judgement what is relevant on this board to the Moderators, sending any complaints to Victor who's contact details can be found under the Webmaster/Complaints link at the top of the page.

I agree with you Sorted, and I'd also like to add that Longhaired Paul is questioning the judgement of the moderators by writing these horrible put downs. If anyone knows what's allowed here, it's the moderators. You shouldn't question them.

I think your curls would photograph better with stronger lighting. I'm sure they look lovely all the time in person.
