Regarding an earlier post on not washing your hair every day, I began to wonder: For those of you who don't wash every day, how long did it take for the effect of that to start kicking in?
Personally, it only took my hair a couple times of not washing before I felt like my scalp "adjusted" to the change. What about you guys?
Personally, during the winter times, I will wash my hair every two to three days because you don't really sweat that much during this time. But during summer almost everyday - depends actually.
Because my hair is on the oily side, it get begins to get to that oily feeling pretty quickly for example every second day is a hairwash day for me. So for my hair it takes about two days to be fully in the "need to wash mode".
Thee Longhaired Gal
For many years I've washed no more often than every-other day. However, I have an oily scalp that doesn't care how frequently or infrequently I wash it. Several times I've tried going 5-6-7 days in between washes, but by day #3, the oil shows, so I wear my hair in updos. I currently wash every 3-4 days regardless, because with my extra long hair length, it's a lot of detangling afterward. So that's my compromise. Being employed in a job I presently want to keep, I can't be a total greaseball, LOL.
