Hi i have a few questions about briaded (if that's what it's called??) hair, ie. Kelly Holmes, Beckham (temporarily) and Kanu (football fans will know him):
1) How long does your hair have to be to do it (mine is about 5-6 inches - down to the end of my nose)
2) Does it damage the hair/slow growth
3) After the hair is un-briaded does it look all curley (would it need to be straightened afterwards?)
4) Do you have to get it done at a hairdressers?
thanks
1)Your hair is long enough
2)Damages your hair if the braids are too tight, doesn't slow the growth though
3)Yes your hair will be curly
4)They don't do that at normal hairdressers (at least none I've seen). There's normally specialist shops that do it for you.
HI cheers for the super quick response, some more questions:
>>I have european style hair (ie. not afro caribbean hair to be PC) so does it work as well?
>>I mean braids that are flat to the head - how is this done (someone tried to esplain but i didnt get it)
>>what would i do to stop myslef from looking stupid when they were removed?
cheers again
The braids should work in your hair, though they might not stay put as easily as African hair would.
Braids that are flat to the head - do you mean like cornrows? Those are tiny Dutch braids. Not all that difficult to do, but it does require patience and time to do the entire head.
When you undo the braids, you can get rid of the waviness simply by washing your hair. The braids won't put permanent waves into your hair.
