I have longhair to mid back and was considering having short bangs/baby fringe, but a few on my friends reckon that this would look very fem on a man.
I would greatly value you comments and opinions.
Thanks,
Mike.
Yes, this would look totally feminine, not to mention completely silly. Keep it long, all of it. *Note* my opinion is worth very little, mainly because I am a complete bastard.

I do not agree with that as I don't think that this is "reserved" for women only. A guy has also the right to have pretty hairs.
Plus, what would be the problem for a men to get over those close-minded "rules" that are only the fruit of certain fashion.
We are getting to the year 2000, maybe it is about time to improve our tolerance.

Jean, I agree with you. I am working on getting a bob just below the ears with bangs and it is also seen by people as a girls style. That may be one reason that my wife doesn't like me growing my hair out. It is high time that us guys began treading into the females territory as they have into ours ( ie ultra short haircut & buzzcuts). I wear my bangs proudly and if my wife would let me grow my hair to all one length below my ears with bangs I would be a much happier person.
Mike, I say that there is nothing wrong with what you describe. I am going for a bob with bangs which is also considered to be a girls style by most. Please if you get the cut post a picture so that I can show my wife to help convince her to agree with me to let me grow my hair out into a bob.
Well...I see no problem. I have long very thick wavy hair (almost midback) with bangs that fall just above my eyes. I usually wear them brushed back to the side, but occassionally wear them down. I won't lie to you...when you wear a ponytail, or push your hair behind your ears and your bangs are down it will look somewhat fem in style...but remember...styles change! Good luck
