I'm 15, Italian, and have thick dark brown hair. It's a little over 1 and a half inches on top of my head. I dont put gel in or anything and I comb it every few days. There's still not too much to comb. It was a crew cut but a few friends want me to grow it long so I'll try it, sounds good to me. It grows pretty fast. How should I do this? should I just not cut my hair at all and let it grow out, nape of my neck, hair above my ears, all of it long, or should I get some kind of mushroom cut (I really hate those) and let it grow on top?
A few friends want you to grow it? Unless YOU want to grow it, I recommend you keep it short... it's YOUR hair, not theirs. They won't have to deal with the 'bad hair' phases & discrimination. You will.
On the other hand, if you DO want it long, i suggest you let it all grow out without trims or 'mushroom' cuts.
Sounds good to me. About the only thing you did'nt mention is what we need to know to answer your question. What is the nature of your hair, straight, wavy, curly? This makes a big fifference how you grow it out.
