Picture Purged
I got out of the Army at the end of April, and decided to grow my hair long. I had a high and tight haircut, shaved on sides and back, a little less than half an inch long on top. Anywways, it's Sept 6 and my hair is a little over 3 inches long now, it seems to be growing slow. I had it about chin length before I went into the Army, and it seemed to take about 14 months to get there. Anyways, even as short as it is, I've had employers tell me to cut it, in which case I refused the job. I look forward to having long hair again.

This is what it looked like soon after I left the Army
Hair looks great and I'd like to thank you for your service, sir.
yeah, that pic was from before I went in the Army, I took it before I shaved it all off. I plan on growing it no longer than shoulder length. My hair is extremely thick, and that pic was me with the sides and back shaved, and it looks like most peoples full head of hair. I do not seem to shed that much, and it would be a nightmare to dry off if it was longer than shoulder length. As it was, shaved on sides and back, and chin length, it took almost 2 hours to dry by itself. Anyways, I estimate at the rate of growth it will be right about shoulder length in 10 more months to a year.
If that Photo is current, you need a new tape measure co your hair looks a lot longer than 3 inches! Or is this photo from the last time you had long hair? (More likely...)
If you started Growin in April then by September you should expect your hair to have grown 2 1/2 inches, which if you started with 1/2 puts you bang on target for your expected growth rate. (Average being 1/2" per month)
So all in all you are off to a good start... just keep growing, though you might want to consider a new Nic Name as we already have a User called Aaron who posts infrequently but often enough to cause confusion.
Anyways, Welcome to the Community

You're gonna be a badass longhair, with your build and all. Good luck with it.
Matt
Your hair looks a lot longer than 3"
Over 3" april to sept, I think thats excellent growth.
Your hair looks great dude, how long are you planning to grow it? same length as before?
Grim
i suspect that the longer hair picture is from previous to aaron's army stint and not a current photo.
Employers worried over your present length? Are they not more worried about the REAL problems of the world? Good for you for not giving-in on these mindless fools. What you have now looks great! I would say: "The heck with everyone else, I am me and have the right to wear my hair anyway I want to."
Your progress actually looks outstanding. The time that has gone by with you growing it to it's present length looks pretty darn good to me.
